If i picked an EFC top 200 Neville would not be in it. But FFS blaming all our problems on one player is nothing short of ludricous. Not one player performed last week but Neville seems to be the whipping boy in most eyes.

Apparently it's Neville's fault that our defenders let a free header in at the far post.

Know what you mean, but I think it was not just that his performance stank, it is the fact he played at all, and his connection, if that is the right word, to Moyes/BK/Board. He kind of represents a focal point of the absolute disgust a lot of fans feel right now.

I hate the ****ging of players, and have been a supporter of Moyes, but Saturday was just the tipping point for me. I finally understood what a lot of the serial Moyes/BK/Board bashers meant, which as an expatish scouser, took a while.

I just find it difficult that a player can get so much abuse from people "assuming" he is in some sort of clique at the club. If Gibson was unfit, not right for the day, Moyes makes a decision. He had other options sure, Barkley, Naysmith or Oviedo but he chose who he did because he makes the decision based on what he feels is right. The point was why he gets so much stick when others throughout the season are as culpable but not so much an easy or popular target. Rant over

Like I said mate, I dont think anyone would slate him as a person, as a pro, or as being a decent ambassador for the club, it is just that he is the focal point for the utter frustration and annoyance from last week. The fact he is no longer that good a player doesnt help his cause either.

48 years! cripes i thought i was the grandad on here with 45.

Think you will find a few other oldies mate! Aged 48, not 48 years of memories though, first match 1969, but me old man nearly brained me when we scored the 3rd in the 66 cup final.Being bottle fed by him at the time, he jumps up, I go flying, apparently! Post more mate, you make some good points.

I doubt Neville's too bothered. These have been his glory years in terms of reputation.

He probably never dreamed he'd only have to face abuse from his own fans back when They Think It's All Over were cracking jokes about him every week.

Time to get back supporting the 11 Everton shirts on the pitch tomorrow!

Come on you blue boys !!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't care less if we lost 10-0 or won 10-0. Any result is irrelevant, and that goes for the forthcoming derby at Anfield too. Nothing but the complete replacement of the present incumbents at the helm - Moyes included - with heavily moneyed newcomers will suffice for me now. Until such times, I'll just monitor the club from afar and they can do without me buying so much as a branded pencil from them.

Y'see that's where this gets silly. Although everyone knows what the root of the problem is, there is no way on this earth any true fan could want us to lose this game never mind lose it 10-0.
