A fantastic thing that I'm really excited about regarding Martinez at Everton so far

Currently we have zero points from zero games, let's see what it looks like 10 games in.......you can be good or bad in rehearsals, what matters is how you perform when it matters.

Football, theater, business - same rules apply

Its like point scoring, I wouldn't mind if Martinez been here a season but we're still in pre-season mate. Its a joke.

The point is, there's far too many threads criticising this, worrying about that.

He's doing plenty right, and a fair bit different to how Moyes did it. The players themselves have said that.

He also said the youngsters have a big part to play in this coming season - Moyes never said anything like. The youngsters were used to fill the bench as non-playing substitutes. If they were lucky that hired, over-the-hill guns like Hitzlberger were injured.

He's entering the Next Gen. Moyes didn't do that, 'we didn't have a big enough squad' he said. A rather illogical, short term attitude by Moyes. And no this is not slating him now he's gone, this was all said whilst he was at the club too.

Much more eloquent than I could muster.

Damn my education

Ok. Did you actually see the performances? Real almost passed us to death, we have spent most of our allocated budget now until we sell, no return on any of the players ( Robles, nominal?) so that isn't impressing me sorry.

As goatze says - the league will be the judge - I just can't climb up his arse like the majority.

Yeah I saw Blackburn, Juve & Real. We played well against Real, especially considering it was a friendly. Not much more than a fitness building, training exercise. You say let the league judge but this could take a while, getting narky about him now isn't good as Roberto's work here could take seasons.

See this is my point, it's not ok to criticise him in " short space if time" but it is ok to praise him in the same short space?

And until we have played 10 games no one is allowed to express any opinion about Martinez whatsoever.

Realistic on an Everton forum?

We should piss our first 4 games.

You can vault this, we will be top at the start of September and the forum will be littered with "Does anybody think we can win the League" threads.

Love how people who are made up to be rid of moyes are refusing to accept any criticism of the new manager. He has signed utter shote and lost games already.

PMSL

How do you know he's signed 'utter shote'? Based on what?

And this lost games already - behave yourself. Real Madrid and Valencia, two latter stages of the Champions League teams. Hardly Yokohama F Marinos is it? Yeah, Austria Vienna, first game, give him some slack.

You missed out the annual relegation fights and subsequent relegation, Dave.
I know that. There's really no concern for us on that level. We have to give him 100% backing until such time he's proven himself incapable...a day that will never arrive, imo. Weighing up how he might fail at Everton on the basis largely of two defeats in a very competitive tournament against top, top teams just seems to be a waste of time and energy.

Based on the fact the players he signed where so brilliant they contributed to wonderful Wigan being relegated.
