We employed him to manage us his way. That means his style of play.
We will struggle, to a greater or lesser degree. And not only is that okay, but it's unavoidable.
Oh dear.
You aren't going to like this season much, I'm afraid.
He is employed win WIN FOOTBALL MACTHES.
We don,t get points of the league for style.
May 2014.
We chose him, based on how he manages. Sorry, but it's that simple. We want him to bring his style.
I want nothing more than to be wrong.
But the absolute disregard for patience that you show means you're going to hate the transition.
The CEO says different." We are no illusions that this is a results based industry"

We employed him to manage us successfully. I don't see why struggling is unavoidable?
The concept is bollocks imo, as he's taking over a side that finished 6th. The aim should be to improve on that, if he wants to adopt a different style of play then that's his choice, but why should we accept that it'll deliver worse results?
We need gradual progression, not a total change of tact.
In an ideal world, Martinez would be able to perfectly emulate Moyes' managerial style, and slowly transition us to the way he wants us to play.
That's just not possible - we can't ask him to be David Moyes for a couple of months.
I think he will retain some aspects of our play - but it's inevitable that the style will change immediately, to some degree.
I agree that we need the change to be as smooth as possible - that's what everyone wants - but there will be bumps. You just can't avoid it.
I honestly think that's what is going to happen. I'd rather it didn't, but if you're not prepared for that then I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment. That's different I can accept that there'll be rocky patches along the road, it was the concept that we should just accept that results are going to drop off to start with, that I was taking issue with. As I don't think there's a valid argument that justifies it.

The man is employed to win football matches, fella end of.
No one gets a free pass in the EPL...
You are trying to set up a firewall around NO FEAR BOB it will never never happen.
I'm trying to say we have to give him time. If you don't agree with that, that's fine and we're done.
