7th -> EL what does it take

Not bothered about EL qualifiers, we'd only be playing kids in preseason friendlies anyway then wondering why the first 11 looks undercooked come the first game. It's effectively a competitive pre season so we could end up getting a flying start.

The quality of the teams in the Third round would be absolutely dire anyway. Looking back on past seasons,

16/17: Grasshoppers, AEK Athens, Osmanlispor
15/16: Astra Giurgiu, Vitesse
I don't evisage the 'Difficult' ones being too testing. I'd see no reason why we'd not be able to play a few kids tbh.

Yeah would be good to start a season for a change with the first 11 having played together for a change and look like they have some idea what they're doing. Instead in pee season it's always kids playing who won't see a first team minute then your real first teamers come out first day blowing out their backside after 60 mins looking like they've never played together.

Especially when its a non Euros/World Cup Summer. The players will still get a lengthy break.

playing these teams wouldn't be easy. They will probably be more up for the game than we would as they would be looking for a giant kill and we will likely not play our strongest eleven

Dont think so mate. The only way England get 5 CL places is if Spurs or United win it, and both finish outside the top 4.

Can you imagine the fume if the RS get 4th and united finish 5th but then win the Europa League, I'm right in suggesting that United would take the RS champions league place and in turn the RS would be in the Europa. Can you imagine us playing the RS in a European competition.

Without checking, I think its all about seeding and coeffs.

Ok, I just had a quick look and we would, providing we finished 7th and all that jazz, enter at the 3rd qualifying round.

So we would have to play 2 x 2 legged ties.
