More serious mate, I'm not sure giggling like a schoolgirl or talking to people like they are in a kindergarten is a feminine trait.
it isn’t per se, but if it’s a part of her character which is brought into question when it comes to leadership that it can’t not be directly conflated with her being a woman. Again, Trump has very unusual mannerisms but it was that in particular which the op had issue with.

You don’t see what I see every day here

I’ll leave it at that
They need checking and defeating the GOP under the MAGA crowd. No question of that. Their destruction of Roe v Wade has been an appalling setback for Americans. But the way to defeat them is to be smart and analyse where you lost it in terms of domestic and foreign policy issues. One conclusion that must be drawn is that you dont alienate a whole part of the population like the Arab Americans and the youth vote around colleges etc who were all appalled by the pro-Israeli stance on Gaza (and a lot of other minorities felt strongly about Gaza as an issue too).

In 2028 whomever is the Democratic nominee they better have a better story to tell those people or they'll suffer another beating.

One absolutely fantastic change will be the removal of these two utterly inept, dishonest cretins from the White House:

Bring back no-nonsense Kayleigh.

You said it earlier, Dave, the election was won on the economy as usual. Pro-Israeli stance did not lose the election for Democrats. This is way more to do with appealing to swathes of America who agree with Trump’s immigration and economic policies.

I was the one that was being "goaded" on initally when I first made my prediction on here, go back and read how the wager came about with @Ruairi77.

I was very respectful to @JP5 if you go back and read what I wrote to him.
I got stick myself for doubting 'Kamala' and was pilloried as a 'clown' / 'clueless' etc etc, so I know the feeling. But you have to just debate through it.

Take it on the chin.

You have your victory. That should be enough. 🤷‍♂️

Yes, the economy won it for Trump. But the landslide needn't have happened if Harris had united her base. That's where the Gaza stuff came in.

Yeah and he's been constantly nicked for those mate.

An irritating laugh is possibly up there with one of the most jarring things you can hear, when you hear it from a politician it really jars.

Does it mean she's not good at her job, ofc not, 'should' it matter - mainly no, but i always had this image of her sitting opposite Xi and saying something to him and then uncontrollably laughing at it...

Ultimately though she didn't lose because of any one factor, she lost because the Democrats again didn't focus on people's actual concerns

I think the Democrats have got to do a whole lot more than convincing Arab-Americans and younger voters on Gaza.

I'm not surprised, to be honest.
She never came across as a confident and powerful leader type.

She wasn't a great candidate tbf. Still might have been a good president mind but, as a candidate, very little I saw from her campaign impressed me. Still reckoned there would be more than enough of an anti-Trump vote to carry her but apparently memories are short in America

I'll cheer when Sullivan and Blinken get booted.
Worms the lot of them. Hope Trump has learned some lessons from his first term and gets some good people in with him. Very interested to see if Elon gets an official role, he's one busy guy as it is. Vivek will deservedly get a job and Vance will be brilliant. Plus some professionalism will be brought back to the press room.

I think the Hitler parody on YT summed up Kamala when it showed her essentially fudging on so many topics and being unable to provide a cohesive or structured response to questions put to her. Very funny to watch for what is/was a very serious topic.

Btw, there was also a Trump version which kicks off with Hitler being told that Trump is on the line and he says...'pass me the criminal phone'.
