‘Democracy on show’. What happened to all the voter fraud and stolen votes?

If Trump had have lost this, immediate democracy very much would have been threatened. Again.

The voice of the American people has been heard. Praying for a prosperous future for some of my closest buddies over there - and they aren't surprised at this result at all. A great victory speech too by Trump, very calm and reassuring that he'll work for all Americans. I predicted at least 290 and looks like it was spot on. What an utter travesty it would have been to have a fraud like Harris in office.

This is exactly why the Democrats lost. They'll never win an election without support and votes from anyone outside the hardcore bubble with attitudes like this.

How do ‘reasonable’ (and I use that term loosely) politicians compete with populism which thrives when the economy is bad, the world is in tatters and people are looking for someone to blame? I don’t know where they go from here.

Noticed in 5 minutes he mentions illegal immigrants don't matter, trans women in sport don't matter, women don't matter, the Ukraine doesn't matter and Palestine doesn't matter to those voting Trump. He never once says what he thinks matters to them - I'm assuming he believes half the country just voted Trump because they hate women, despite a lot of women voting Trump, despite most men not actually being misogynists outside a weird liberal bubble that imagines them as this.

Manages to insult over half the country repeatedly, including the entire state of Wisconsin.

Yeah don't tackle the real reason people voted and what the democrats did wrong, just blame the people who didn't vote for you because you feel entitled to that vote.

Kept Biden far to long.

I remember in school a History teacher saying no one will vote for ginger Welshman, regardless of policy. Kamala a non-white woman had very little chance in most of the USA for the same reasons.

This may be true, but I think we should look beyond the colour of her skin when evaluating her poor performance in an election campaign.

She has a tendency to laugh like a giddy schoolgirl in response to serious questions. This wouldn’t go down well at a job interview, never mind a competition to be the president of the USA.

You realize that I live in a deep red part of the US? I’m not spreading hate, I’m telling you my experience. I live that sh*t every f*cking day. She may not have been the idea candidate, but to deny that racism and misogyny continue to play a huge role in American elections is either a complete pisstake, or being altogether ignorant of the way things are here, as I suspect might be the case for someone who lives abroad.

Obama won in a landslide in 2008, where was the racism there? He won in deep red states like Indiana and Iowa as well.

Kamala is the WORST presidential candidate America has seen. She dropped out with minimal votes in the 2020 primary and can barely string any coherent sentences together. Plus with the current economy and inflation, did you seriously think Americans were gonna vote for her?

But Trump won (twice) despite much more serious character traits than ‘laughing like a giddy schoolgirl’.
