I'm working with a load of Americans at the minute. They pretty much all wanted Trump. They think the economy will be better off with him in. Which may be true. But the rest of things will be garbage..

They have been telling me that a LOT of native Americans and black Americans have voted for trump this time. Staggering really.

It's like Brexit followed by a Tory landslide, but worse

Was listening to a vox pop with a 19 year old US guy who is studying in Ireland. He said he supported Biden in 2020 but since going to University and being more aware of critical thinking he voted for Trump.

He was asked about where he gets his news from and his general views etc. I thought it was really interesting that he got his news and current affairs from people like Charlie Kirk and didn't watch any traditional (for want of a better word) media.

God was the most important thing to him also.

Democrats have a massive massive job to try and get these people back. My own kids do not listen to or watch any radio/TV. It's solely Internet media and Spotify etc. I don't think we're really prepared to the pace of change in the age of information that is happening.

Social media is the new tobacco/heroin.

How do you even begin to reach someone who has God is his most important issue, and decides Trump is his guy?

You don’t. Some progressive states/cities aside, that is American isn’t it? It’s been built perfectly to respond to populist politics. America deserves Trump.

I find it incredible that any woman or ethnic minority could ever vote for Trump, it absolutely baffles me, but then so did the people in the uk who voted for the blonde haired Buffon Johnson and the Tories.

Crazy times we are living in.

The behaviour from his opponents was absolutely disgraceful in the final months, willing him to be assassinated, comparing him to Hitler. To use a Democrat party word: Deplorable behaviour.

From the bits I caught they ran a complete rubbish campaign.
Kept Biden far to long.
Thought Harris was a bit lightweight and to tied to the Biden government.
Bit on par with labour putting up Corbyn loads of noise but no chance of actually winning.

If Trump had have lost this, immediate democracy very much would have been threatened. Again.
