Well, Colorado keeps it interesting.....but this will clearly get appealed to the US Supreme Court.....
btw - small world: I know one of the justices on the CoSupreme Court (voted with the majority) as he and I both play in various local brass groups. I'll see him this weekend at a couple of gigs - would love to ask about this case, but I know he'll just shake his head and say, "let's play".
Can they be temporarily withdrawn whilst investigations are ongoing?Sadly, I can't see this holding up, as Trump hasn't been convicted of anything to do with the January 6th insurrection. You can't punish someone on the basis of suspicion alone.

And yet we will likely watch the “strict constitutionalists” on the court, the ones that believe the 2nd amendment gives the right to own a semiautomatic gun, interpret the 14th amendment in whatever modern fashion that allows Trump to be eligible. The relevant bit of legislation doesn’t require that someone be convicted.
I do wonder about that appeal - I mean, does Trump benefit more from going before the SC where all the Jan 6th stuff is aired in a way he cannot control (and risks losing), or does he allow Colorado to do this and milk it for all the outrage he can?
Let him run again and defeat him again. And yet we will likely watch the “strict constitutionalists” on the court, the ones that believe the 2nd amendment gives the right to own a semiautomatic gun, interpret the 14th amendment in whatever modern fashion that allows Trump to be eligible.
I doubt he'd ever go before the SC. They'd be ruling on Colorados decision, not trumps actions.I do wonder about that appeal - I mean, does Trump benefit more from going before the SC where all the Jan 6th stuff is aired in a way he cannot control (and risks losing), or does he allow Colorado to do this and milk it for all the outrage he can?
Even if he cant get on the Colorado ballet, he'll run again. He doesn't need Colorado.Let him run again and defeat him again.
It's the only way.
I am certain he is going to be allowed to run again, whether he is defeated again is another matter.Let him run again and defeat him again.
It's the only way.
