I know. But it appears that a lot more hope is pinned on celebrity endorsement by the Democrats. I dont think it shifts the dial very much if at all.

It means that more Democrats than Republicans it seems to me have faith in the celebrity anointing of a candidate, and that Springsteen reaching out to the working man wont amount to a hill of beans when people go in to cast their vote.
Beto lost to Cruz by around 2%. The national GOP is pouring money into Texas to support Cruz and his ads are EVERYWHERE on TV.
This can mean only one thing. It's competitive.

As a Brit who doesn't understand the nuances of individual State's red/blue status completely...Texas is very red, correct? If its looking close in Texas is that a good sign for Dems overall? Or is it more a damning indictment of Cruz? (Who comes across as a snivelling creep of a man)
If they are going heavily in Texas, they are in big trouble.

Texas is quite a bit less red than it once was mind, but not enough that it's in play for the Dems.

If anything it's just a relief that people with a big audience can show the rest of the world that we're not all deranged.
Also take Springsteen.
He's absolutely adored in Jersey by blue collar gen x and boomers, A lot of whom would vote for Trump.
Now jersey is not a swing state but that's primarily down to NYC suburbs so it's good to get the word out to the rest of the state that their political idol is dangerous.
As for the rest of the country, It does absolutely no harm having Eminem stumping for Harris in Michigan.
Not gonna make or break her but it will definitely help.

Democratic campaigns are won on enthusiasm, which generates money and volunteers which leads to votes. Optimally you have a great candidate with a great message, but if you don't think Bruce Springsteen or Beyonce generate enthusiasm, I'm not sure I can convince you.
