I dont like the body language from each candidate atm.

Harris last night looked wound up as tight as you can get; Trump in that 'town hall' event looked relaxed.

Just on that many will be speculating that early voting (and internal polling) indicates the race is tilting the racist-misogynist's direction.

IMO Harris needs to bin off the tv interviews, I dont think they've worked. They've zeroed in on weakness and frailties. She needs to get in and stay in Pennsylvania and Michigan, and her team need to throw the kitchen sink at those two states financially in the last 19 days.

Again, I want Trump beaten, but Harris and Walz look like a weak ticket to me. This should have been a slam dunk once Biden was out the way; any competent Democratic ticket - and one with a massive warchest dwarfing Trumps - should have galloped into the distance and away from that lunatic. As it is it's still a toss up.

There was only two ways Harris didn't become the nominee.
1. Biden doesnt step down. That ship has sailed and it was the right choice.
2. There was a contested convention with some weird rushed primary. The Democrats would have eaten themselves alive. Harris's strongest advantage is that she didn't have to pitch left for a primary and then veer back for the general.

She's doing fine. The Democrats are in a far stronger position than they were in after Bidens last debate.
She just needs to get it over the line.

I think she takes NC, GA, WI, AZ and maybe MI.

Also could be an upset in FL where abortion and weed are on the ballot and Trump has to have alienated some of the Latino vote with his Haitian nonsense

The interviewer pressed her for precision. She handled that reasonably well, however she allowed herself to be talked down to and that wasn't a great look; then she attempted to deal with that but looked ragged doing it. I know that can be interpreted as a gender bias analysis and one based on tone, but it really isn't. On the issues she looked ropey...

There was a lot of errors in there: not fully endorsing the trans issue in prisons but merely stating it's a legal requirement and that she'll go along with it; a half-arsed attempt to distance herself from Biden's four years in office; struggling badly on the border questioning she was getting and pretty much agreeing - ridiculously - the situation is not one to be proud of; waffled badly on defending her own record as VP.

I watched the CNN panel afterward and there was pretty much agreement that 'she was strong' but that the interview wasn't great.

It's absurd to label anyone who disagrees with political views as a 'communist,' 'far-left,' or 'Antifa.' I was simply pointing out that there are many Republicans who are anti-Trump, and they're obviously far from being 'communists.'
