There are 14 democrats on the committee as well…If you want to point out what’s incorrect about their report then that’s great, but people continuing to say it’s just pure good vs evil while pretending there’s no fault on anything one party does isn’t effective.

Trump 100% gazumped the bipartisan proposal and that’s horrible. Biden also dragged his feet on doing something for far too long, even when liberal cities were saying they didn’t have enough resources. He wanted to have that win in an election year rather than acknowledge and do something before. That proposal also wouldn’t have been a fix but would have helped. They’re all playing games.
If you could point me to an actual report from the Committee, I'd like to see it. All I can quickly find is testimony to the committee from FAIR that estimates $150B in expenses from federal, state, and local governments. That estimate is reached, in part, due to an estimate of population that is 25-30% above the most commonly accepted figures.

It's worth mentioning FAIR was established by a white nationalist and anti-immigration activist and is classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Trump’s former campaign vice chairman, Rick Gates, was charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison.

Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, was charged, convicted, and sentenced to prison.

Trump’s former White House national security advisor, Michael Flynn, was charged and convicted.

Trump’s former chief strategist, Steve Bannon, was charged with wire fraud and money laundering, in addition to a conviction in a contempt case similar to Navarro’s. He’s currently awaiting sentencing.

Though he was later acquitted at trial, Trump’s former inaugural committee chair, Tom Barrack, was charged with illegally lobbying Trump on behalf of a foreign government. (Elliot Broidy was the vice chair of Trump’s inaugural committee, and he found himself at the center of multiple controversies, and also pled guilty to federal charges related to illegal lobbying.)

Two lawyers associated with Trump’s post-defeat efforts, Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell, have pleaded guilty to election-related crimes.

I’ll have to look for the more recent report, but here’s one that I read earlier this year.

I’ll also point out that this started from a reaction to a post that all republicans care about was “owning the libs.” My contention is that most don’t give a crap about that nonsense. They care more about their living situation, and government spending and cost should be rightfully scrutinized when evaluating domestic issues, some of which have worsened in recent years.

I’m in no way suggesting anyone should support Trumps policies on immigration. I am suggesting that Biden and Harris aren’t impervious to criticism on this and other topics just because the other guy is worse.

Probably:

And then carry on as is...

You know how it goes when Trump supporters are presented with logic and hard facts.. 🤷‍♂️

We can agree to disagree on this based on my readings coupled with every day interactions with people, including my family. Now the rich white people at my country club - that's another matter entirely. Sure, they're just here for the taxes and deregulation. They own that, and don't care about what it does to anyone else. In the words of Walter Sobchak, at least that's an ethos.

But the middle class and down? They give lip service to caring about "the economy" and other domestic issues, but when presented with facts, they come back with the same old if it's a Democratic policy is terrible, whatever is a Republican policy is the best thing ever.

A good example of this is the ACA is great when presented that way. But when it's Obamacare it's terrible. Socialism is bad, but only when it's not going to rural white people. They "care more about their living situation", but are adamantly against things that would improve their living situation. Better to just complain about the Libs and clutch pearls over who goes into what bathroom.

I'm done with it

yeah, I get that.
My post wasn't having a pop at you.
I have respect for any moderate who can see through Trumps BS.
I just tire of the 'both sides' stuff. And I know you can see that Trump is way off the spectrum when it comes to this.
But congress came up with the border solution. And to reach a bipartisan compromise like that takes time.
All Biden can do is say "get the right bill to my desk and I'll sign it".
He waited and when it collapsed thanks to Trump, he issued executive orders.
Yes it came in an election year but that actually feels like fairly normal politics (with the exception of Trump).
For me, it's very important that moderates see this and avoid all the noise created by the right.

I thought your point about cities getting cleaned up for a few weeks while dignitaries come to town was interesting, that's a definite 'both sides' one!

Yeah, it's exactly this for me.

The Dems aren't perfect. And yes they play politics - but they are playing politics in the pre-Trump era. An era where at least both sides at least agreed on a framework of what everyone accepts to be true, and work in good faith to get stuff done.

Today? The Republicans don't do anything in good faith.

I want to get back to debating policy.

Today, we can't even agree that Jan 6 was a coup attempt.

Miles of difference between the parties

Talking about Musk, his America PAC is now paying $47 per referred voter to register for Republicans in swing states I believe, seems quite manipulative but I imagine that's gonna have a massive impact on the election.

Christopher Bouzy basically nailed the 2020 Election and the 2022 midterms. This is his current view based on early voter data in Pennsylvania. He also thinks there is a chance Florida will flip. Let’s see but he’s been pretty spot on in the past. Hope he’s correct.

So because he nailed both 2020 election and 2022 midterms he is now a guru?

Using early voting records to analyze doesn't ever work and clearly this guy isn't aware of it. Democrats disproportionately always favor early mail-in voting whilst Republicans more likely to vote on the day. In fact, Biden led by a margin of 9-1 in most states when it came to absentee ballots in 2020 so this year, the enthusiasm is much lower for Kamala.

Trump is currently leading on Polymarket by a margin of 6% for winning Pennsylvania. He is ahead in most of the recent polls in Pennsylvania. He is currently tied on the RCP average, keeping in mind Trump always get underestimated. Trump has gained support amongst latinos, muslims, jews, african-american men whilst strengthening his support with the white working class voters. This clown you quoted also happened to say the growing African-American electorate in PA but failed to mention that Trump's support with the African-American male community is through the roof.

One of the biggest Philly newspapers literally said Trump is gaining loads of voters with the working class voters in Philadelphia:

So how does Kamala exactly win PA?

The fact that he thinks Florida can flip, means he is not to be taken seriously. There's more of a chance New Mexico flipping for Trump than Florida going for Kamala.
