Historically, undecideds and loose partisans turn on convicted felons at the ballot box. Prior popularity, partisan lean of the district...none of that matters once convicted. Putting faith in the US justice system seems strange to me, but the voters in the center do when it comes to corrupt politicians. Perhaps it's more their faith in the FBI and DoJ.

Good news for Biden if Trump loses the verdict, but in this day and age any news only moves the needle a few points either way, max. The persuadable audience is high single digit percentage at best.
This is where Dems are making a mistake, they are running a lawfare & political campaign on historical precedent. We're not in Kansas anymore, all precedent and rules are out the window in this election. I think a guilty verdict helps Trump politically more than it hurts him.

BECAUSE....TRUMP.....WILL....BE....WORSE
Notice that Dave cannot admit this.

Based on all his previous actions and current rhetoric Trump would be significantly worse for those in Gaza. For instance I doubt he would continue the Gaza aid pier, he usually thinks foreign aid is a waste that is better spent in the US, as do his supporters

He has already said he would "crush" all domestic protests about the war and deport any foreign student that takes part in them.

But making things even worse for those in Gaza will apprentently be being "on right side of history"

Biden = gencocide
Trump = racism, rape, sedition, genocide, domestic terrorism.

Its a difficult choice really.

If Trump had laid down his arms and walked off into the sunset like Gore, I doubt there are prosecutions. Nixon was pardoned because there was no percentage in prosecuting political goods damaged beyond all hope of recovery.

Instead, Trump lied, ran a well-documented pressure campaign against state officials demanding they commit fraud, and incited a riot to halt certification. Those are political crimes, yes, but we do prosecute political criminals. We prosecute things like bribery, treason and sedition. We don't use them as political tools because the burden of proof in such cases is so high, and DoJ dislikes losing.

He did this for the worst of all possible reasons: because another term as president ran out the clock on statutes of limitations in all the civil cases he was facing.

You're professing your defence of democracy by denying me the right to say I wouldn't vote or l'd spoil the paper. Both demicratic rights.

Can you see where you're going wrong here?

The Gazan massacre cant be justified by saying that Tweedledum is less of a mass murderer than Tweedledee would be.

Democrats across America will ram that one home in November. Dont worry about that.
@davek it seems you want the right to participate how you choose (not voting, soiling your ballot, etc), but not take any responsibility (moral or otherwise) for the outcome of said participation.

At least those voting for Biden do so in the expectation that what will occur in the future will be better than what would occur under Trump - and having tried in some way to make a better pathway for us, they have a much stronger moral argument than you.

Having seen the actions taken (or not taken) by each man when serving as President, there is no doubt that Biden is the better choice on many dimensions.

Really? How many people did Trump provide bombs to a foreign power to murder? Is it anywhere near 36,000 people?

You CANT justify voting for Biden.
