There is also an election in this country between the future of democracy and the dismantling of democracy (which is the topic of this tread). As it pertains to Gaza, it is absolutely a question of lesser of two evils, and everyone here is aware of this. My concience is fairly clear.
I work a bit with local government.
Our city became the first in our state to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
My state rep speaks strongly in support of Gaza and was a part of the MIT encampment.
My congresswoman (Presley) and Senators (Warren and Markey) have all called for a ceasefire but could be doing more.
Most of these people will be up for re election in Nov. I'll be listening carefully to see what they say.
I'm not sure what I'll do at federal level but in MA, it doesn't matter what I'll do.
My vote for city treasurer or state rep or AG is far more important.
