Yes. I rest very easy...and yours is worse because it ratifies the provision of and dropping of explosives onto a civilian population which has murdered 36,000 men, women and children.
I rest easy enough, do you?

I think you might be in for a surprise there. Democrats will be abstaining in all states, battleground ones included. Not one Democrat with a concience will abstain in a state where trump can win.
If they do, their conscience is misguided.
This is actually getting kinda gross now Dave. It's like you're willfully ignoring everyones argument to have a completely unjustified go at posters....and yours is worse because it ratifies the provision of and dropping of explosives onto a civilian population which has murdered 36,000 men, women and children.

Because they know the responsible thing to do is to stop Trump getting in to power.I think you might be in for a surprise there. Democrats will be abstaining in all states, battleground ones included.
How could they not? There is a progressive wing to that party that wont hand its support to an act of genocide.
Yet in doing so they'll hand their support to an idiotic sociopathic wanna be authoritarian?I think you might be in for a surprise there. Democrats will be abstaining in all states, battleground ones included.

What an insufferable twit you are with these dumb proclamations as if you have some higher virtue than the rest of us. No one is holding onto anything. Of course there are crimes being committed in Gaza. You think no one sees this but yourself? There is also an election in this country between the future of democracy and the dismantling of democracy (which is the topic of this tread). Neither candidate is remotely ideal but the contrast between them is quite vast, and at least one of them doesn't plan on ruining the 250 year experiment of democracy. As it pertains to Gaza, it is absolutely a question of lesser of two evils, and everyone here is aware of this. It is only you, however, who draws up these simplistic admonitions with the urgency of a teenager seeking affirmation. Pretending you have rarefied insight and elevated sympathy about a major tragedy is a pathetically self-serving attention-grab...but that's your whole online persona in a nutshell. You are not going to vote in this election, and you can't, so bugger off into another thread and pollute with your laboriously tendentious dogmatic takes.
This is actually getting kinda gross now Dave. It's like you're willfully ignoring everyones argument to have a completely unjustified go at posters.
NoThis is the same as saying you're picking your ball up and running home with it.
I think you want an echo chamber to salve your conscience.
My concience is fairly clear. This is the same as saying you're picking your ball up and running home with it.
I think you want an echo chamber to salve your conscience.
If I noisily protest against both sides, I can claim moral superiority after the fact, ramp up the 'I told you so's' and blame everyone else for the situation they* made.So what will that solve, will it make the war to away ? Because you have abstained Dave.
If everyone felt that way we'd have no bombs dropping onto innocent Gazans.
see, I'm more morally superior than you. Ner ner nuh ner ner!...and yours is worse
Then you identify a way forward: reward with your vote those who have opposed the slaughter in Gaza at a local and regional level, and withhold your vote to a president who has provided the bombs that murdered 36,000 people. My concience is fairly clear.
I work a bit with local government.
Our city became the first in our state to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
My state rep speaks strongly in support of Gaza and was a part of the MIT encampment.
My congresswoman (Presley) and Senators (Warren and Markey) have all called for a ceasefire but could be doing more.
Most of these people will be up for re election in Nov. I'll be listening carefully to see what they say.
I'm not sure what I'll do at federal level but in MA, it doesn't matter what I'll do.
My vote for city treasurer or state rep or AG is far more important.
The thread has been completely derailed by your inability to grasp the basic premise that other posters putting forward
edit. My state rep is called Mike Connolly. A great guy and hopefully one to keep an eye on.

I mean, that would just be being consistent.
You must do what you must feel is right...yeah
but I wouldn't dream of withholding my vote at a federal level if I was in a swing state
How many times does it need to be said?
