Think there is quite a lot of truth behind that meme.

But equally for Sanders supporters that do care about poverty focusing on memes like that, rather than positive messages emphasizing the similarities between the Warren and Sanders platforms, is a completely counterproductive strategy to gaining voters/delegates.

People are people, they don’t like being insulted - that is true of Trump voters, Sanders voters, Clinton voters, Warren voters. “Vote for x otherwise you are an idiot/selfish/racist” doesn’t have a great history of winning over voters see Clinton 2016

Biden is the Trump of the Democratic Party. People laughably compare Bernie to Trump with the populist thing but really Trump and Biden are two liars who are in with the corporations and don’t have the working class best interests in mind. In my opinion they have no right to laugh at republicans voting Trump if the best response is Joe Biden. Another slightly lesser evil but this one is less brighter than Hillary. 2016 : douche v turd sandwich part 2 incoming if Biden gets it.
Don't get me wrong, Biden has negatives on his record (as does anyone who's been in Govt that long) and I'd prefer Bernie as President (I'm just not 100% convinced yet that I'd rather him as the nominee, in this election - Note I said NOT 100% CONVINCED, not that I'm 100% convinced I DON'T want him as the nominee)... but please mate for the love of god, get a grip, don't turn into that other fella.

Biden: Instrumental in the passing of the biggest overhaul of healthcare in a generation
Trump: Locked kids in cages and gave a trillion dollar tax cut to billionaires and corporations and literally went to court multiple times to REPEAL that expansion of healthcare.

Yeah, they're just the same.

Look it’s off course hyperbolic to say he’s just like Trump he’d be a million miles better but. And could drag the standard back to how it was before. But that’s not good enough imo. And you leave my Ev90 multi alone he’s been my only back-up on here.

Don't get me wrong, ideally we'd go to someone much further to the idealogical left... but let's not forget this is a country (and a system) that voted in Donald Trump only 3 short years ago... Sometimes improvement has to come in stages.

We tried to go from far right to fairly far left here in UK... look where that landed us. (And yes I know that in general terms Sanders isn't FAR left - I've said as much myself - but on the US spectrum, he is)

I know and it did surprise me no end someone like Sanders could get so far with the Overton window in the states like you said. It’s stopped me looking at the American political process with contempt and guilty entertainment and made me engaged. I was a member of the socialist party in Ireland and did a lot of on the ground work campaigns and protests. I got a bit dissolutioned and my new job does 60 hours a week on a good week I become less engaged and active. But I’d love nothing more than Sanders to win office in the states of all places. It would be a great advertisement to the world for ideas pro working class. Like there are great social systems in Europe, Scandinavia most prominently but the whole world is watching America.

I get you guys are arguing within reason off what’s possible. Your willing and able to put aside your left wing ideas and get real so to speak. In order to get Trump out. But I’m hoping Sanders campaign can pull a rabbit out and win smart.
