I know and it did surprise me no end someone like Sanders could get so far with the Overton window in the states like you said. It’s stopped me looking at the American political process with contempt and guilty entertainment and made me engaged. I was a member of the socialist party in Ireland and did a lot of on the ground work campaigns and protests. I got a bit dissolutioned and my new job does 60 hours a week on a good week I become less engaged and active. But I’d love nothing more than Sanders to win office in the states of all places. It would be a great advertisement to the world for ideas pro working class. Like there are great social systems in Europe, Scandinavia most prominently but the whole world is watching America.

I get you guys are arguing within reason off what’s possible. Your willing and able to put aside your left wing ideas and get real so to speak. In order to get Trump out. But I’m hoping Sanders campaign can pull a rabbit out and win smart.
If it was a "regular" (quotation marks because they're almost uniformly cretins at this point) Republican politician, I'd be 100% for Bernie to be the nominee... I do genuinely believe that Trump is a clear and present threat to a country that (despite not being a citizen) I care a lot about, and to the world in general... so I'm of the mind IF (and we don't know he does, but the data and demographics so far point in that direction) Biden is a better bet to get him out of office then I really do think that RIGHT NOW, that's the most important thing.

But there's a long way to go, and there's certainly time for those indicators to shift.

Don't get me wrong, Biden has negatives on his record (as does anyone who's been in Govt that long) and I'd prefer Bernie as President (I'm just not 100% convinced yet that I'd rather him as the nominee, in this election - Note I said NOT 100% CONVINCED, not that I'm 100% convinced I DON'T want him as the nominee)... but please mate for the love of god, get a grip, don't turn into that other fella.

Biden: Instrumental in the passing of the biggest overhaul of healthcare in a generation
Trump: Locked kids in cages and gave a trillion dollar tax cut to billionaires and corporations and literally went to court multiple times to REPEAL that expansion of healthcare.

Yeah, they're just the same.
Blah, blah, blah. The cages. You go on as if it only happened during Trump's campaign. Did you forgot some of the images they put out in the media when criticising Trump were taken during Obama's term, of which Biden was there too.

As for tax cuts, so what if the rich get a big slice of the pie with the cuts. Guess what, they also pay the bigger slice too of the pie.

Corporations and businesses need the cuts to assist with economy, jobs etc.

When was the last time you got a paying job from a poor person ?

As for healthcare, that's an issue which hasn't been sorted for years, and don't start with Obamacare being the saving grace.

For all the talk you give able Warren, Biden and Sanders being better, explain what they were going to do and how they would do it which would make them better for some to vote ?

You're talk about preferences is like your basing it on emotional feelings.

Very well said mate. The message would be so powerful to entire world with the Sanders presidency. One can hope.

Astonishing logic on display from one of our era's great minds here. Lolling

I just don't get how exactly Biden came this far. Yeah he did win SC, so what? That's just one state pre super tuesday. Pete won Iowa, for that matter, it was equal with Sanders leading the bunch. Why exactly whole centrists/moderates rallied behind Joe all of a sudden? Cuz Obama said so? or because Trump messed with him before primaries? I mean of course it was always going to be reduced to two before April, but Biden v Sanders line up is just boring. Former is not even the best candidate from the centrists camp. Much better names could be found.

He really is an absolute scumbag

One more post on this and then I'll leave it.
There seems to be an idea that Warren just had to put up with a few mean tweets and snake emojis from Sanders supporters, that they should deal with it and get on board with his progressive message.
Here's a tweet thread commenting on a live podcast. This podcast is a favorite among Bernie's supporters. Bernie has appeared on it and his staffers make regular appearances.
He's done nothing to condemn this behavior, and to a lot of Warren supporters, me included, it seems counterproductive to the progressive movement.
It's where the bernie bro reputation comes from.

Right, that's enough from me on that.

Imagine being this desperate to defend Donald Trump.... We get it, you love the giant orange man baby.

Re: the cages - yeah detention cells were used in past administrations. Maybe look into a BIT of the detail before you go spouting off though, eh? They were NEVER used to the extent or in the specific situations that they were under Trump (cf his "zero tolerance" policy). They were used as a default. To such an extent that they couldn't cope, and people died. Little kids DIED.

Re: Healthcare - didn't say Obamacare was perfect. Didn't say it fixed the problem entirely. Said it was the biggest change in a generation. It was.

Don't know if you noticed, but corporations were doing pretty fine and dandy - in spite of what Trump's lies would have you believe, he didn't "turn around" the economy. He did make all his mates a lot richer though. Meanwhile wages are utterly stagnant as the cost of living rises. A country where tens of millions of people still don't have healthcare, and many many more don't have close to ENOUGH healthcare... and your solution is "Yeah let's give more to the richest among us!" But wait, it'll "trickle down", I'm sure. It won't just be used for stock buy back. Wait, it WAS? Ohhhh...

And the bit about Warren... I'd reply, if the sentence was in any form of coherent English.

I think it was the inability of the other centrist candidates to get the support of African American and Latino voters that will be so important in winning against Trump. Iowa and New Hampshire were always poor representations of Democratic voters - Nevada and S Carolina much closer.

This.

Then the blow-out nature of SC then gave a huge boost going into Super Tuesday

A lot of maga people on here are like rawk agents. Most their profiles are months old.

They need to be giving a hell of a lot more of a ‘slice’ considering The working class has created that wealth and can’t afford simple things like healthcare and education.

it could be the case but why do you choose to attack your fellow progressive candidate at this particular time? warren voters should also have serious problems with the establishment. do you think if this was Biden v Warren now, the DNC would let Warren get away with the nom? You would get much meaner digs thrown at her from Biden camp

I would be fine if this is how it had actually played out. What actually happened is that Trump and all his millionaire/billionaire bros got a massive tax cut, and the taxes in my very middle of the road income WENT UP.
