The ‘sanders is a sexist’ exploded right in her face but she fought the right fights there. She could end up being 3rd maybe an outside chance at second in Nevada over that.
She never said Sanders was sexist.

Stating that you don’t believe a woman can win the Presidency isn’t sexist unless you also think a woman SHOULDN’T be President.

Are you trying to pull a Warren on me? It historically doesn’t work.

She wasn’t saying it. But she was saying it. Otherwise why say that. If you’re trying to say she wasn’t alluding to that then you belong on the stage yourself.

Not really but whatever.

Let me put it another way... what would you like her to do -“about an independent PAC spending money on ads? Put out a statement saying she doesn’t want the votes of anyone who saw it?

FACT: Elizabeth Doesn’t Take Any Money From PACs or Federal Lobbyists, Rejects Super PACs, and Won’t Give Donors Special Access

"Third, Elizabeth rejects the help of Super PACs and would disavow any Super PAC formed to support her in the Democratic primary. We’ve got to overturn Citizens United because our democracy is not for sale. In the meantime, Democrats should show some moral backbone by refusing their own Super PACs in the 2020 primary."

You can only refuse donations given directly to you. How do you propose that she refuse money that never goes near her? Aside from stating that her opinion on PACs hasn’t changed, which she has done.

Bernie ‘trend setter’ Sanders in effect.

If Bernies vote gets taking away at the convention. It’s 4 more years for Trump. It will not go down well. The dems have done some silly things to help trump but that will be the killer self inflicted blow.

Mate please stop pretending that you're credulous enough to believe that she is unaware of this and that they would even dream of proceeding without her approval. You know I don't believe you're that dull.

And anyhow, she explains perfectly well in the passage I quoted what she should do - publicly disavow them and ask them to stop advertising on her behalf.

It's not the biggest scandal in the grand scheme of things. So why is it so hard to admit the obvious, that on this, she is blatantly hypocritical?

It's uncanny how much this thread is like talking to Republicans four years ago.

Don’t borrow trouble mate, have faith in your candidate - it takes 15% to get any delegates and if Bernie got a delegate haul like this from California and other Super Tuesday states on top of good results in Nevada/S Carolina all your worry could be moot.

Tbh she has clearly flip flopped on this one.

But then Bernie’s OurRevolution seems to be effectively acting as a SuperPac so I don’t think anyone is fully living up to the ideals.

Fair enough.

I agree with her to be honest, but it clearly wasn't a great idea to take THAT definitive of a stance at the beginning. Would be far better to not have PACs at all, but unwise to put yourself in a position of either flip flopping or going through a fight with one hand tied behind your back

There are other reasons to say it.

Encouraging women (and hopefully a lot of men) watching to prove him wrong would be the first one to spring to mind.

If Sanders gets elected president I expect four years of Republican obstructionism which, if they retain control of the Senate and/or regain control of the House, would prevent him from making much headway on his goals beyond what could be achieved by executive order.

If one of the other Dems gets elected president instead, I expect the same.

The last three presidents have dramatically expanded what can be accomplished through executive order, so that's not inconsiderable power.

Fewer than 8 million people watched the New Hampshire debate, just a blip more than watched the Iowa debate. At this point in the election cycle, most Americans have an attention span measured in seconds rather than 2 hours.

True enough, but they do see the headlines and, in some cases, the synopsis reports of how Warren trashed Bloomberg.
