Here I will give you a run down of every vote I ever made in my life :)
Im only 25 so keep that in mind. In 2012, I had the option between Obama and Romney. I didnt vote because I could not see myself in either of their "plans". I also voted for 1 Democratic Senator. For city council, I vote all Republican. I also voted for a Democratic Govenor in a red state. In 2016, I voted for Trump. I also re-voted for the Democratic Governor. Also a republican senator that year. I voted for a increase in teacher pay. I voted for a penny tax to help rebuild our roads. I am a independent to its core. If I like what you have to say, I will vote for you. I dont get worked up about politics like alot of the knob heads do on here. @BirkenheadBlue and I will never agree on anything because he only sees the left viewpoints and thats it. I respect his opinion on everything and honestly listen.

No hard feelings about anyone on here. I know some people feel butt hurt about certain things but not everyone is a mere copy of each other.
Well thank you immensely for acting like you have the first clue about what I do or don't see, but you're miles off.

I'm relatively centrist in my views - or would be perceived as such in 1) most developed nations on earth and 2) at most political times other than the one we find ourselves in.

In most countries, believing that healthcare is a right not a privilege afforded to those with resources would not be considered a "left viewpoint". Believing that steps should be taken to stop people dying by the tens of thousands to gun crime (or even the much smaller but horrifically shocking issue of school/mass shootings) would not be considered a "left view".

Am I aligned more closely with what is considered the "Left" in America? Absolutely. Partly because what is considered Left there would pass as centre, maybe centre left in most developed countries, and partly because over the last 10-15 years the Republican Party (which used to hold valid and mostly respectable positions on many issues), which could be agreed or disagreed with on the merits) has gone absolutely bat**** crazy - a fact which has been confirmed (and exacerbated) in the last 3yrs under Trump.

The Right as it currently exists in the US throws out words like "Liberal" and "Socialism" as insults... but Liberals (whether Democrats or Republicans - when those existed) are more or less the only ones who have ever moved the country forwards... and as for Socialism... the Right seems absolutely fine with exploding the deficit to give huge tax breaks to corporations and the super-rich... then following it up (as in the budget released in the last few days) by making a complete lie of their supposedly populist message by stripping Medicare and Medicaid for parts to make up for it.

Really do hope Sanders wins, so that he and the Democrats can be throughly rejected by the wider electorate come November in the same way we have just seen happen here with Corbyn's radical left wing lunacy.

Bloomberg is a turd but at least the campaign would be interesting, albeit mostly taking place in the New York sewer. Both absolute scumbags.
Between Sanders (Brooklyn), Trump (Queens), Bloomberg (Manhattan), that's three of the boroughs. Just need someone from the Bronx and a shadowy, organized crime figure from Staten Island to get into the race.

Bloomberg is actually from Medford MA. Meffah, as the locals call it, is the last place you'd expect a gazillianaire to be from!

+1

I certainly don't want a Bloomberg nomination but I'd like to see them have to debate one another. Bloomberg is everything Trump always wished he were, apart from the Judaism.
While I totally agree with you, a Bloomberg/Trump race would be the type of reality TV show that Trump governs by and would somehow find a way to benefit from.

Although I kind of have to admit I'd watch. I'd be part of the problem

Socialism is fantastic. How can nobody get that? Especially if you are a working class person. Like ya know, nearly everybody.
