sure but if you divide it in to two blocks, progressives and moderates, the progressive candidates did way worse in this election.
The only candidate who possibly took votes off Sanders was Warren and she only got 9%.

Ok granted I see your point but taking that info and spinning Bernie wining into something negative just seems more of the same from the corporate power control initiative in the media. I guarantee if Biden won Iowa and Newhamphire they would be lapping it up and pushing him all the way.

I think that nonsense in Iowa has giving Pete a boost to the mindless ‘oh look that Pete guy seems like he’s winning let’s vote him’ zombies. I think the Bernie cream will keep rising to the top. Klobuchar did well in the debate and deserves her share she’s won on merit I’ll take that. But denying Bernie isn’t a front runner is just the machine doing what it can since 2016 imo.
Nobody is saying Bernie isnt a front runner.
Everybody is saying that the progressives took a hit in NH.
Bernie's path to the nomination relies on the moderates splitting themselves 4 ways while he just has to hold off Warren and hope that the progressive vote picks up.

Bernie got stung badly in 2016. But I genuinely think the media are going really easy on him this time.
I guarantee you he expected to pick up 40% of the vote in his back yard.

Bloomberg being in so that he could defeat the progressives probably, and ironically, makes Sanders being able to win the nomination via a fractured moderate vote more likely!

Didnt know where else to put this as its the one thing Trump cant be blamed for - this has been going on way longer than him but this is outrageous. Openly admitting to interfering in another countries politics. Hopefully Bernie puts an end to this

yea, I've no idea how Bloomberg will do. The other candidates bases are already tearing strips off him, making out he's just like Trump...
I'm sure he's probably not a terrible person and I'm sure he'd beat Trump but theres no way, in the primary, I'd vote for someone who's buying the job.

Yea, both parties have been complicit in this for years but Trump has definitely empowered Bibi!
For what it's worth, I think this kind of talk will backfire.
Up untill Trump, Israel had a pretty unbreakable by-partizan support here.
Even questioning US policy towards Israel would get you labeled an anti Semite.
Now, it's quite acceptable to question blind support for Bibi.
Watch the likes of Chuck Schumer dial back his AIPAC rhetoric in the year of election.

It's kinda interesting that the democratic primary could be fought out between two old Jewish guys.
I've no idea what Bloombergs position on Israel is but I do think this is an area where someone like Sanders is desperately needed.

Pete was getting a huge boost with that performance in Iowa regardless of how messed up the counting was.

People do love to play the “everyone’s against Bernie” card, but the failure to have a definitive result hurt both of them.

Bernie is now the overwhelming favourite to have a plurality of delegates going into the xonvention. Don’t quite understand where people think this narrative that he isn’t is being peddled. Every news source I’ve looked at has him as favourite.

Whether he’s favourite to get a MAJORITY is another matter. It’s increasingly unlikely that anyone will end up with that.

The point is more that even what the furthest left Democratic candidate stands for is like maybe 15-20% strength socialism at absolute most.

The sort that says people shouldn’t go bankrupt because they get sick, and should still have a shot at a good education even if their parents aren’t rich.

VERY dangerous policies.
But Americans also like playing semantics with socialism. There are various socialistic elements of the political economy (Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, food stamps, etc. for individuals and various major subsidization programs for agriculture and other industries), but Americans never categorize those as socialism. Instead they seem to reserve that term for a complete command economy and state control of production and (if they're Republican) pretty much any political initiative originating in the Democratic Party. Obama? Socialist! The Clintons? Socialists!

In regard to that last point, it's like the GOP has been calling socialist so often for so many years that they've finally willed one into existence. Sanders isn't my first choice but his election to the presidency would be a lovely bit of revenge on the right's tradition of rhetorical misdirection.

There are already state laws (one in Texas, for example) that forbid any public contract with any person or group that boycotts Israel, which means American citizens lack the freedom of action regarding Israel that they have regarding their own country.

So bizarre
