First day in the job, she rips Osborne apart in a one-to-one meeting, lets him grovel for his job then sacks him.

She retains Johnson, but makes a succession of snide remarks and tries to put him in his box. Only gets him out and about on TV / campaign trail when she starts to panic last week.

Oh look, the lads have conspired to give her the shove. How surprising. As loathsome as these two might be, they are sharp, sharp minds with big popularity with the Tory core.

Absolutely agree .

The only thing she has done is undermined any future leadership campaign for the short term at least . Long term she'll go but short term she's sidelined the big beasts.

I'm sorry, but no it won't. This is the most important period in modern British history. I want someone who is capable of negotiating Brexit sensibly and competently, and we've got a lame duck leader who is bloody rubbish. The notion that she carry on so Labour can score political points whilst the country suffers is frankly absurd.

Understand what you're saying mate but Brexit was an infight within the Tory party. It's their mess let them deal with it. The Brexit that leavers voted for is unachievable and as a labour supporter I'd rather it was the tories who were in the firing line for any fallout than labour.

I think the spread of votes and regions showed that wasn't the case although the numbers surprised many of us in fairness at the time .

I get labour supporters voting Brexit , even if I don't agree , I do find them voting UKIP a little harder to follow if I'm honest .
Not into Ukip myself, think they tapped into a mood in the country at the time and rode the wave.
They are doomed now

Depends what sort of condition the Johnson / Osborne friendship is currently in. If it is back to being frandly, expect solid work from the Standard over the next few days and some big behind the scenes canvassing of the old timers.

The way I am looking at it Pete is , Labour got beat despite the feeling right now they are beat simple fact, but I feel they have put an brake on the drift towards the right the Tories were taking, for that I am grateful

I agree and am similarly grateful......I still don't rate Corbyn though........

Having the DUP propping up the Torys is a match made in hell. Anti women's rights, anti gay marriage, anti abortion, religious nuts, supporters of terrorist organisations in the UVF and LVF and embroiled in a massive fraud case paying their rich mates with tax payers money. Well done UK I actually feel sick

I think she's handle Brexit negotiations and then step aside straight afterwards. She is damaged goods in the eyes of the party, and they will (rightly) not entrust her to fight another election.

Her election campaign was an absolute disgrace and as you say she will not lead the party into a future election........
