May going to seek the Queen's permission to form a govt at 12:30pm. Oh how I'd love to be a fly on the wall of that one.

Phew. Got a quick 2hr kip. Long night. Cost me a bucket but the drama was almost worth the price of admission. :D

They had no need to include anything contentious, Corbyn didn't expect to win so filled his with giveaways. The key issue was and remains our exit from the EU, everything else is noise.......

About that Pete....

Compromise...

Thought it was fascinating to see how much of the UKIP vote Labour picked up myself, particularly given how hard the Tories pursued those votes.
Good to see UKIP ended as a political force

It is very interesting. At least Labour supports can no longer make the accusation that UKIPs were all just racist Tories.

Nobody does political vendettas like the Tories

First day in the job, she rips Osborne apart in a one-to-one meeting, lets him grovel for his job then sacks him.

She retains Johnson, but makes a succession of snide remarks and tries to put him in his box. Only gets him out and about on TV / campaign trail when she starts to panic last week.

Oh look, the lads have conspired to give her the shove. How surprising. As loathsome as these two might be, they are sharp, sharp minds with big popularity with the Tory core.

Given the amount of vitriol that the right wing press gave Corbyn both before and during the campaign it seems to me that their ability to influence an election has gone. Their opinions have turned out to be an irrelevance in this campaign and the days of "It was the Sun wot won it" seem over now. Murdoch apparently stormed out of a supposed celebratory party as soon as he saw the exit polls.

Absolutely, they have almost zero influence these days, there is obviously still a small closed off mentality that will believe everything they read in a rag but thankfully it does look like people our wise to it now

The Internet has done wonders, a lot of fake news out there but people seem to be cautious and find out about things for themselves, generations have a thirst for knowledge which they can get right at their fingertips now and not just being drip fed it each morning by a hand full of billionaires with agendas

That's one hell of a brass neck on May... She has no mandate whatsoever, she should resign but she's putting her own arrogance and her party over the country.

Why so ? She will have 319 MP's, Corbyn has 261 and even if you gave him all the SNP and LD's would still only have 308..... she will carry on for a while, until the tories decide otherwise......

Think there was a widespread myth that some believed that to want brexit meant you were a tory, that was never the case as has been proven last night.

I think the spread of votes and regions showed that wasn't the case although the numbers surprised many of us in fairness at the time .

I get labour supporters voting Brexit , even if I don't agree , I do find them voting UKIP a little harder to follow if I'm honest .

I think she's handle Brexit negotiations and then step aside straight afterwards. She is damaged goods in the eyes of the party, and they will (rightly) not entrust her to fight another election.

The way I am looking at it Pete is , Labour got beat despite the feeling right now they are beat simple fact, but I feel they have put an brake on the drift towards the right the Tories were taking, for that I am grateful
