They're generally just reporting the stupid things he says and does.

They didn't invent him not singing the national anthem, advocating no nuclear weaponry, refusing to support anti-terrorist officers shooting terrorists on a rampage and inventing a seating crisis on a train, for example.

They also aren't imagining his ridiculously poor outings at PMQs, when he misses more open goals than Stuart Barlow ever could.

And the media certainly aren't responsible for hiring incompetent fools and building a tight, impenetrable inner circle of left wing stupidity consisting of idiots like Thornberry, Abbott and McDonnell. And yes, "idiots" is the right word - they are unbelievably terrible at their jobs.

He gives them the ammo, because he is incompetent. Incredibly incompetent. So incompetent that he frequently surprises me with how incompetent he is, even though I already know he is incompetent.

The media aren't responsible for any of those things, but David Cameron, for example, has done far worse.

It isn't even just Corbyn. Take the lies printed about Milibands dad to try to derail his campaign during the last election.

Stuff like this, by the way, is just weird... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ries-gloat-Labour-s-woe-careful-wish-for.html

Theresa May's a bit crap at PMQ's as well though, unless you like woefully delivered jokes. Theresa May has also came across as being incompetent on Trident when she was rattled by Marr after a simple question. Theresa May has also had to embarrassingly backtrack on her tax proposals at the last budget. Yet she's perceived as a safe pair of hands who stands up for the ordinary folk...

But lots of people do exactly that. So many people aren't as politically informed as those contributing to this thread for many reasons, be it feeling unconnected with politics or lack of political education at school.

The BBC could never get away with being bias against the right, by the way.

I'm honestly not convinced - is there any studies that back this up?

I know a few of what we could safely describe as 'politically uninformed' people (not because they're thick, simply because it doesn't interest them), yet, I'm reasonably certain that most of them would are pro-corbyn. So I really don't think it is that black-and-white.

We all vote based on what we hear and read to some extent, some people just spend more time reading into things than others.

There are millions of people who don't have much interest in politics and don't have an understanding of Corbyn's political philosophy. If every time they pick up a newspaper Corbyn gets absolutely slated, why would they vote for him?

Pretty much most of the population tbh. All of my mates are solid Labour voters without taking much interest in politics.

They detest Corbyn though, ask them why and they don't know.

This is true, however, people are much, much more likely to be influenced by the views of family and friends than they are the media. Just like in the same way people tend to conform to certain habits based on what their friends and family do.

As for your second point, if somebody is picking up a newspaper that is slating Corbyn, they're presumably picking up a centre-right newspaper, right? Nobody is forced to buy a newspaper, so you'd have to assume that if somebody buys a centre-right newspaper, they enjoy reading it, and therefore wouldn't be a pro-corbyn voter regardless.

I think the Scottish Tory Leader is the most likable and possibly votable party leader in Britain

I think she will help to destroy the SNP. The SNP had the best set of GE results it's ever going to get with 56/59 MP's in 2015. That will not happen in June. Labour, Libs and Conservatives will take seats and I would be surprised if the SNP got anywhere near 40. Sturgeons 'mandate' just like Corbyns 'massive majority' will just go out of the window........May has stitched them all up.......

Will be interesting to find out. Agree May has played a blinder here. We will.soon have more of an idea about the true support for Scottish Independence

Newspapers exist to sell themselves, so they gauge the tone of the public and give them what they want to hear, so as to sell newspapers.

If not many stories are supportive of Corbyn, it's because either barely any exist, or that the papers have deemed the public don't care to read them.

I think it's a combination of the two. I won't say Corbyn gets a fair shake from the media, because he definitely doesn't, but then again I don't believe he does anywhere near enough to deserve the benefit of the doubt from them.

If they have no interest in politics, why would they read about him?

Because it's practically rammed down their throats.

The mail ran 8 SEPARATE anti-Corbyn stories the day after his most recent leadership election win
The Mail is more akin to a fictional crime-drama and horror story mixed in with a kids comic book rather than a newspaper.

If people don't realise that it's mostly absolute tripe combined with hysteric propaganda simply to incite then I have no sympathy for them.
