Interest. Maintenance loans.

Guesstimate from -
https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/student-loan-repayment-calculator

Including Interest at 3% above inflation and Maintenance loans depending on where you study, still comes out at -
Starting salary of £25k = 24 years to pay off initial £40k of debt.

The Maintenance loan is another divisive topic, as in the ability to live while studying. That 'burden' falls on the parents of students, if the parents can't afford it, then the loan route it is. Sort of, harks back to the days when it was the ability to pay, that got you an education? Maybe, a little dramatic (given the timescale the loan is repaid) but, the principle is the same.

Seriously though you Tory ferrets why do you support the scouse socialist team of Everton? Massive hypocrites. You detest the needy and working class in the UK. You're paid up fanboys of the establishment who tried to destroy our city and smear our name.

We want nothing to do with you. Go and support someone like Norwich or whatever small town Tory hole you come from.
Pedalling a modern day 'Everton are Catholic' blind bigotry or top class wumming?
*shrugs

Wumming obvs; It's Chico ffs.

Think you missed a key one off your list. Tuition fees is definitely a big factor for lots of people, whether voters are current students, going to uni in September or have family/friends about to go uni.

Average student does a 3 year degree. £9,250 a year, £27,750 in total. Roughly £3k maintenance loans per year, another 9k. Around £37k debt at the age of 22/23 is appalling, and May wants to raise tuition fees even higher.

Corbyn has announced students will be getting maintenance grants plus I bet tuition fees info will be announced in the coming weeks (if I haven't already missed it?). It's actually a big reason why I'm going to vote for Labour and I think the policies are going to win a lot of younger people's votes (whether they go out and vote is a different story).

Sorry for the mini rant but it's an issue that I can seriously relate with

I hear what you're saying, but I'm not sure it's something which is going to make swing voters vote Labour.

Re

Yea, it should do, but you've said yourself, they might not even bother voting. If I was being 100% honest, I'd say that any student who couldn't be arsed voting for something which will make them better off shouldn't really be at Uni. After all, a University education is supposed to be a sign of some intelligence, and they'd have failed my entrance criteria !

Agree that they're a bit of a liability, but I'd rather them than Rudd, Johnson and Jeremy friggin Hunt.

Nah come on though... they are not very nice people, but Abbott and Thornberry are actually incredibly incompetent. They shouldn't be anywhere near the front bench, and the fact they are is symptomatic of Corbyn having no access to any even somewhat talented MPs in his own party due to a lack of support.

Let's not go over the last part again mate. All I can say is that I'd rather have well-meaning but incompetent over mean-spirited and still incompetent.

Diane Abbott has just had a bad time this am on LBC promoting that Labour would increase police officers by 10,000 if they were elected - money coming from altering the Corporation tax - asked simply how much would the cost - silence err er e rr err £300, 0000 - interviewer - what for the wages of 10, 000 extra policeman - err err err err err -
Corbyn then comes up later after it went nationwide actually she's not that far out it 3 million ???
obviously went to check the money tree on his allotment!
utter laughing stock it was like the interview with Australian green leader women who then later resigned!
