Sad think about Abbott making a mess of this is we are taking about her cock up and let's face it it really isn't a surprise to most, and not the the policy of getting 10,000 extra police which could have been a good policy due to the numbers cut by this government.

The policy is fine, if we need them and if we can afford them. But all we keep hearing is how Labour will recruit this, recruit that, spend the same money again and again. It smacks of buying votes tbh.......

Supposed to be fully costed pete, let's wait and see, suspect it will be borrowed.f

A terrible interview, though even with this I note that its front-page news in a way that our Prime Minister declaring war on tourism wasn't.

Because one is a slip of the tongue ( a bit like when someone said Breakfast rather than Brexit) and the other was a complete non understanding of the costs of a key policy being announced by the person who wants the responsibility for introducing it.........

I expect so. Corbyn claims that he'll use money from undoing reductions in corporation tax, even though reducing corporation tax is to encourage new businesses to start up and to encourage large businesses to relocate to the UK, thereby increasing employment and the overall tax take........politicians, of all hues, really are useless at financial policy.....

The real shame for me is that Corbyn has actually been OK-ish for the last few days - not great, but not his usual awful self - and then he gets completely undermined by the incompetent team he's put in place.

You have to question his judgement if he genuinely thinks Diane Abbott is good for absolutely anything in the political sphere.

Well no, the difference is that Abbott was giving an answer when she said it. May is, as we can all see, someone who rarely answers the question.

To be fair, they could have announced the intention to hire an extra million police, it still wouldn't make any difference as they haven't got a cat in hell's chance of ever being in a position to enact it.

giving an answer, and totally embarrassing her party - by the way reducing corporation tax has fetched in an extra 8 billion to the exechecker as business want to then locate here, push it back up they will leave so will the jobs!
