End of season appraisal on the campaign just ended.

Where would you bracket it if you were to score it out of 10?
7.5.

Got back to Europe, home form good, could've been better.

Overall reasonable considering the two previous lower half finishes.

Good, but work still needed badly.

5.

6 if we'd have not messed up both cups.

Lots of improvement to be made but I think average score for an average season.

Overall: decent first few games of the season; followed by a gash late summer and autumn; followed by a very encouraging winter and early spring; followed by a typical late spring cave in.
Yeah that's fair I reckon.

Emergence of Davies a big positive and I like the addition of Morgan.

4.

Better home form.
Atrocious Away.
No wins v the RS.
Pathetic home exits in cups.

Big name players refusing contracts.
Nothing's changed player wise.

Stadium announcement the biggest plus.

Highlight was the donation for Bradley.
We get so much right off the pitch.
Need to get it right on it now.
Think 4 is a bit mean
But nobody can argue against the rest

I personally think we've done fairly well and the position is just about right. No way should we be higher with the players we have. We have a top class striker, a few good solid players and one or two promising kids. That's it.

Major surgery required if we're to challenge for top 4.

He'll need to improve us massively for any 'bigger' team to consider him.

I've always said I have no problem with him using us as a stepping stone, as he needs to prove he can be competitive and win things as a manager at this level.

If he can make us more competitive and win us a trophy or two, then he's served his purpose.

Exactly.

If he wins a trophy next season, I'll hold my hands up.

But he's come in with a wrecking ball in his first season and is gonna spend more than any of our managers in the history of the club, so the pressure is all on him IMO

As I said in the match day thread, 15 points above 8th an 6 points between 8th an 17th, definitely the best of the rest an good foundations built. Just hope we build on it massively over the summer! A good 7/10 for me.

Kal.......we are not "best of the rest".

That is Arsenal.

When they start allowing the top six into the CL then the 7th placed team will win the Best Of The Rest trophy.
