Got to be 6. Improvement at home. Dreadful away. Looked good at times but atrocious also. Did the usual can't be arsed end of the season stroll which leaves a bad taste as we could have nabbed 6th. But ultimately 7th is nothing to write home about and the performances in the cups were shameful. Is if wasn't for how bad things were last season it'd be a 4 or 5.

Overall: decent first few games of the season; followed by a gash late summer and autumn; followed by a very encouraging winter and early spring; followed by a typical late spring cave in.

About the size of it. The latest collapse in form is kind of understandable given the results at the RS and Spurs meant we were always playing for 6th at best. The bad run of form before Christmas was not and better not happen again next season.

Top end of the 0-5 for me.

Bit of a nothing season really.

Effectively ended on the first Saturday of the New Year.

Easily improved our league position from a very low base but still a long way behind the fourth placed team and a distant third in the "best of the rest" league.

Team building plans in limbo due to the uncertainty surrounding our two most high profile players.

But at least we sneaked a Europa League place thanks to United, Chelsea and/or Arsenal winning the domestic cups ;)

7. Decent start under Koeman but we need to see an exponential improvement over the next two seasons.

Was probably getting towards 7 before the last few games. 6.5 now.

Tried to come up with our best performances this season. I really struggled, apart from the Manchester City win at home we never got anywhere near that level of performance and there were simply not enough comfortable or convincing wins.

Tom Davies. Rubbish players well and truly exposed. Ace home record. European footy. New stadium on the horizon. Big Summer from Ron K, Walsh and Farhad. Onwards lads, Everton aren't we?

6.

Marks for improving some areas, getting into Europe. But overall, some of those away games are up with the most pathetic displays you could imagine and Koemans odd selections and subs contributed to it.

Its been a very Moyes like season.

6. Improvement on last season, but that was to be expected.

Squad is in an awful state still. Enough good players wouldn't come in the summer, which is understandable with our last seasons. Needs to be better recruitement this summer.

Said we'd finish 7th at the start of the season based on the squad he had and if he shored up the back line.

He did.

But then it's completely gone to pot with the best players leaving and a whole new team needed if he's thinking about Champions League.

Then again, I think Ronko will jump ship after next season.

4-5.

This league is terrible so finishing 7th isn't that big of a deal and we're in Europe on the back of the achievements of those above us. Every meaningful match has been lost. The cup defeats, the derbies. Battering Man City after going out the cup stunk of Moyes.

The performances away at the big clubs is still akin to watching plucky underdogs carrying knives.

Positives. Koeman has made Goodison a tough place to come and we get a crack at another cup next year. The deadwood clearance has been much needed.

Good post.

Indeed.

6.5 for me. Anyone who says 0-5 is forgetting the shambles that Koeman inherited and despite a pathetic transfer window we have comfortably qualified for europe. Now we wait to see what Walsh and Koeman with the backing of the board can do this summer.
