as per usual we will find out who we end up with in the dying hours of 'deadline day' on Sky. I must admit i do really enjoy setting up in front of the telly with a few beers watching them going around the grounds and see who's panic buying who.

Although i do remember the pain and confusion of trying to parse how we sold Arteta and signed strac and drenthe in the space of a few hours. Me and the old man where sat there in disbelief as it unfolded in front of our eyes.

Forget that i'm not looking forward to deadline day at all now.

I don't know the reasons mate it might just be moyes changed his mind but he wouldn't have been cheap . It's not a criticism of moyes and he has tight budgets but he does tend to be a bit changeable in his targets so that could easily have been the reason as much as money , this bloke wouldn't have been cheap though .
Yann M'vila? you heard anything about this?

One of these then... Jelavics agent only has the following on his books....

Duje Cop, Ante Rujkavina, Mario Bubimir, Dinko Trebotic, Mateo Bertosa or Lovre Kalinic...

No big name there...??

Players/clubs often have agent working for them on deals who don't represent them . For example every Craig Bellamy transfer from the move to Blackburn has been done by the same agent who doesn't represent Craig . The jelavic deal was primarily done by two agents one who 'helped' was moyes brother and the main driving force was a local based agent who looks after the player's uk interests and he's certainly not Eastern European . Often agents allow others with better connections to broker their deals , this agent specialises in 'overseas' players but is uk based. I'll happily talk about agents and deals in a thread in the world football forum if you like mate because I find in fascinating and know a little bit about it . What I'm saying is 100% by the way I'm not spinning a yarn.

Yeah I was gonna say you must have some perverse, sadomasochistic fetish to enjoy one of the most horrible days in recent Everton memory

I'm sure there isnt an Evertonian in the world who wouldn't have a fit, mentally stable and reliable Royston Drenthe in the squad but I just think such a thing doesnt exist or ever will do.
The simple fact he has been without a club for 7 months now speaks volumes. If I had his ability and no one wanted me I'd be banging on the door at a Tranmere or Oldham ( like Baxter has) and saying pay me on a play as year deal, let me show the world what they are missing. But can you see this happening? Of course not.
