It won't happen but imagine if we had Drenthe as cover for Mirallas. Squad depth !
Aye, it would be great and Everton seemed more fun with him there. However, Moyes is a pragmatic man, we are in a good position and he has been burned by RR before. He wouldnt take the risk i dont think.

I'm not saying the drenthe isnt true although like others im not convinced moyes would be interested but years ago if you ever saw billy kenny years ago he'd be telling you how he was sorting his fitness out and was going to train at this club or that club and that such and such a club was looking at him if he proved his fitness. I'm not comparing the two but you get the idea , sometimes like anybody footballers just chat rubbish and aren't completely adverse to kidding themselves never mind people round them .

Hes a footy player who made a multi million move to one of if not the biggest club in the world a couple of years ago who is still in his prime (age wise) and by the end of January he still hasn't got a club, I think that in itself should be very telling . In my own opinion I also think there is no chance of it happening in relation to us.
Exactly my thoughts

billy kenny ...what a waste of talent that fella was, seen him in the elm tree after playing one game , left and came back an hour or two later he was out of it propped up by the bar on his own, could have been one hell of a player, but there has been a few Buddy Coyle before him, seen him at the same level and same sort of age and thought he was even better, but wrong crowd ect let it all go shame as he was a nice lad as well.

Jesus, what a waste of talent, if he isn't willing to change his attitude...

Other names sound familiar?

like sheeds said, he's settled in Liverpool so is this just a convenience for him to come back, is there actually a desire. Moyes seemed open to lescott despite a very poor attitude in his leaving the club, but that was long ago. Drenthe is still an open wound being only a season ago. I guess it depends on how the transfer window works out and whether we are in a position to be choosy in expanding our squad.

I certainly agree with the first sentence . The lescott situation was Completely different though in my opinion though mate , a nouveau riche club dangled huge money & a 'project' in his face and lie most footy players he wanted it . The reason why the players and the manager to would be happy to welcome him back is they can see themselves in exactly the same situation . Drenthe (although as I understand it with a pretty serious personal issue in the background ) behaved like an arse and in a manner most probably can't imagine themselves in. Apples and oranges for me

Sad thing is got loads of chances as well even sharpy taking him back to Oldham when he arrived after they'd chased him for this & that. That derby display will always stay in my mind about him whatever the factors what a waste of talent , sad .

Can't see Moyes taking him back, it would stink of desperation, but that is unfortunately the situation we find ourselves in. The lad is a game changer and a match winner though so if his head is right you'd have to take him on a free. Can't see it though.
