Has anyone seen everton football clubs credit rating - scary stuff indeed.

I'd be very interested in seeing that.

Surely it can't be THAT bad? We've never defaulted on a repayment as far as I'm aware? And we were recently able to satisfy the banks when they called in their overdraft on demand.

But obviously your credit rating will still be poor if you are contracted to make loads of other payments (80 million pound in wages). And if you're continuously spending an extra 10million than you receive each season, and there are no longer many assets that can be sold to cover such losses, then it isn't too much of a surprise to hear that it is rather poor.

Alright then.

Aston Villa are contemplating a 5million pound move for out of favour Everton defender, Johnny Heitinga. The Villains have been absolutely shyte this season, and new Villa boss, Adam Lambert, thinks the Dutch international is the man who can sure up his defence and stave off relegation. However, questions remain as to whether Heitinga is willing to join such a small club.

Don't be so bloody stupid

I thought this would be the case.

But where are all these cheaper, and yet supposedly superior, available centre backs? There are none, IMO. Or they are few and far between, at the very least.

Heitinga was definitely worth his pay last year, but he definitely hasn't been worth his pay this year, so I appreciate that there is a big risk involved. I just don't know where the alternatives are for the likes of Villa, Newcastle, QPR, et al.

I'd have expected at least some crap rumours on the subject.

Newcastle wouldn't couldn't compete with QPR over remy's wages & he's on what £5k more than Heitinga if that puts it In perspective a bit ? Not many clubs can afford that kind out dough for a centre half.

I think Napoli have made a strong enquiry for him but there are a few in . Will probably be €4m (€4.5 at a push) but the wages mean its so tough to complete .

Forget all that for now. Try to see the club as a bucket with a hole at the bottom that is getting bigger and bigger. of course you can sell the players on the feild, paint the seats, dream it will all get better with a CLP but the water keeps flowing out faster that you can top it up.

We need new owners this summer, we need change, they can,t keep leadding the fans, players and manager up a garden path twice a year.

Your analogy omits the fact that a further £20M+ is going to flow into the bucket this summer.

The need for new ownership is obvious & necessary, but you make out that the club is dying on it's arse, when it's not.

Just means that realistically the inflow of new water will cause the bucket's bottom to come off!

.

next summers TV money - half of it covers the loan we took this summer, and the other half merely prevents us getting another loan next summer (in theory)

If we can ship out Heitinga and Gueye this Jan, then we can do business worth double what we get for them, as its on the drip

But none of the board are willing to front even a couple of mil

isn't he desperate to leave? if he was a genuine footballer he'd be taking a wage cut to leave right? napoli are a really good club as well with some great players. or is he very happy to be stroppy at everton, playing 5 mins here and there but picking up a bigger wedge?

Euros or pounds, mate?

That's quite a small figure if it is in Euros.

Everton have made an £8.5million bid for Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue, according to reports in France.

Billy's fake bid?
