The amount spent is utterly irrelevant.

Spurs have strengthened with a CL level midfielder. Arsenal have bought a defender from a team who topped their CL group, Liverpool have bought a young Brazilian with potential to be a good player, Chelsea have bought a very good striker.

We've bought.... a Barnsley fullback.

I'd love to be wrong and for Stones to play against Villa and spark our run in, but lets be realistic.

A lot of our best players are the equivalent of a "Barnsley player" - and moyes got the best out of him. Liverpool have bought a lot of rated players who have turned out to be ****e for them.

maybe moyes is off in the summer and there keeping the cash for the new manager

It may be true about moyes being off, but you would have expected kenwright to have given every last penny to Moyes to try and get him to stay. Moyes has deflected alot of attention away from kenwright.

Everton midfielder Darron Gibson on Twitter: "New song by Odemwingie 'Sign Me Maybe'...'Hey, I just drove here. And this is crazy. I'm in your car park. So sign me maybe' hahaha class!"

first time i've smiled today

Holtby looks to be a very good signing and Spurs have admitted they beat a lot of other clubs (possibly including Everton) to sign him. He could push them on.

Arsenal possibly only moved for Monreal because of Gibbs' injury.

Liverpool may well be stronger but they've only had one striker for most of the season.

Chelsea are always going to be in a different league to us.

Clubs aren't throwing money around chasing Champions League football. If we can't get the players that we want in this window we're better off saving the funds and trying again in the summer rather than panic buying whoever is available.

Come on mate.

Liverpool aren't even the biggest issue. We've been crying out for depth in our squad since the start of the season. This John Stones lad could be great for us in a season or two, but no way is he going to slot into our starting eleven and make an instant impact.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. I am gullible, i actually thought we would be busy today. Not sign an 18yr old right back.

Saying to the lads last night

Phil Neville 36, Giggs and Scholes of similar age but talent wise on another planet, these two aren't expected to play every Sat, we have to play Neville, and he's ****ing gash to!

Can't understand us letting Gueye leave without a first team player coming in... surly there is someone sorted that we haev heard nothing about.... surly.... has to be.... right?

Donovan?
