Deaths still need to go down for it to be less of an issue. If it eventually gets down to killing around 10,000 a year in the UK it would be much less of an issue but it's still probably somewhere around 50,000.

Hopefully it will drop in 2022.

But you can't stop it either.

At some point people have to accept that. If vaccines and masks and all the rest of it isn't changing that figure then short of a complete permanent lockdown, you can't stop it. The figure has been around the same for months now.

If it's true that it's still elderly and vunerable dying from covid mainly now , then nothing can stop or change that.

So if deaths are inevitable then it's serious cases, which will drop now with the variant pumping natural antibodies into the population. Lower transmission rate if people are protected up.

If you were called a conspiracy theorist, I think it's because you have routinely shown yourself to be resistant to facts and science on any given topic. You're against lockdowns, restrictions and any sort of social distancing measures. You're against vaccines, and any one of your regular rants against actually doing something as a society to combat this pandemic are usually bundled up with tirades against government overreach, big pharma, nazis etc. etc. According to you, for the last 2 years, we should have done nothing and gone about our lives as normal.

Wearing a mask in the shops is hardly that much of an inconvenience.
I'd be fairly certain that those who won't wear a mask when asked to, would be the same ones that would wear a mask if they were told not to.

I guess we'll never know.. I never said remove all restrictions, by all means mask up keep a distance between people and sanitise hands it's locking down the country I have issue with, I'm talking the proper lockdown when they decided that you can't go more than 5Km from home and most stores closed.. obesity is one of the biggest co morbities with covid, yet close the gym but leave McDonald's open. Masks fine sanitisation fine social distancing fine... crippling the economy no thanks.

Just got my booster, nice to get it done before Christmas... double pfizer and boosted with moderna..

Haven’t seen anywhere near that sort of loss in the US where mandates have been implemented (both medical and non medical) but then vaccines are mandated for school snd a lot of healthcare employment so perhaps more accepted that can be a condition of employment,

TBF listening to his dad the other day compare him to Jesus, Spartacus and the entire Serbian nation, and watching how he's acted during the pandemic, makes me fairly confident he went to that thing knowing he had COVID.

The Aus' governments court docs are basically disputing the fact he even had it too...

A vaccine that doesn't stop infection followed by a pill for when you get infected, well played Pfizer ?

I think the implication people might be reading into your post is that you are saying that somehow Pfizer purposely developed a less effective vaccine so that they could later sell folks a pill.

None of them, because it’s a virus that mutates like every single other virus in the world ever? Why is it newsworthy that a virus has mutated is more my point? Why doesn’t every new variant of the flu get named by “them”(the media)?

Probs because the flu isn’t nearly as contagious and doesn’t really have the same ability to hospitalise younger people like this does. Once it mutates to a point where barely anyone is at risk we’ll stop hearing about it. I presumed that was fairly obvious though.
