They won't kill it. You know how it works, media rumours like this. Are really leaks from within.
You can't have any positive cases to report if nobody is taking a test.
I have a feeling, once spring comes, we will just forget all about this business and crack on. With a please wear your mask message every winter.

Well they are and aren't.

Omicron evades them yes, but the likelihood you'd actually get anything worse than a cold from Omicron if you've had natural infection and two vaccine doses is extremely, extremely low. Which I believe is what the poster you have quoted is saying. The T-cells and antibody response will still be there and work just fine.

I'll still be getting my booster in a few weeks, when it's been a month since infection, but frankly I'm only doing it for ease in case they bring in more rules. Having had COVID twice, one of those times being Omicron, and being double jabbed, I don't see how having a booster is going to significantly help me. I'll probably be infected again in 6 months at this rate.

Obviously I agree with you that it's just safer to get the booster

The hospital where my partner works have stopped making lateral flow tests freely available for staff, but are still telling them they need to test twice a week.

Not sure how this is legal really.

It can't be surely, even under their new plans.

The free testing (LFTs at least) is one of the only things we have that we should keep for the time being.

Testing so regularly does eventually need to be a thing of the past. But that time isn't now.

Well it's up for debate.

There's some posts that say it was the day before his test and others that say it was the day of his test and then others that say it was the day after.

I honestly doubt he actually had COVID... I wouldn't put it past the Serbian government to help facilitate that lie for their biggest star.

EDIT: As in I think it's more likely he lied about having COVID recently as a loophole than it was that he actually had COVID and went around spreading it to kids.

Let's face it if they get rid of free tests a large percentage of people won't bother any more.

I certainly wouldn't test multiple times a week. Potentially would buy/use one if I thought I might have symptoms but they'd some track of almost all asymptomatic cases.

Same for me, two jabs plus natural immunity from having covid (I've had worse colds) leaves me in a pretty good position, read a couple of articles around this scenario giving you a good level of immunity so don't see the point in the booster. Natural immunity for the win.

TBF listening to his dad the other day compare him to Jesus, Spartacus and the entire Serbian nation, and watching how he's acted during the pandemic, makes me fairly confident he went to that thing knowing he had COVID.
