WOW! I have never seen The Yak put in a better performance than that...even when he bagges 20 goals 2 years ago. The way he knocked (i dunno who he was) before shooting it on goal was aweosme! That's gotta be up there with the best derby moments..." the yak knocks out a stupid ********"..the perfect title for that moment.

Had he bagged a goal then he'd be the man of the match.

Any more stupid ******s out there who still think that yak should have been shown the door in the summer or he's not good enough. Did you even see Saha put in a sliding tackle the way Yak did right INFRONT of the Gwaldy's end!

HE'S BIG,HE'S BLUE....HE'S WEARING TWENTY TWO.....WHO NEEDS A TORRES WHEN YOU'VE GOT A YAAA-KUUU-BUUU(y)

Well said , mate .

He WAS AWESOME today .

THAT is what we're after Yak . tHAT , right there is enough .

Excellent display, especially in the first half, Liverpool's defenders where bouncing off his ripped biceps and square shoulders.

He clearly compliments Cahill's game aswell, that has been clear from day one.

He was a man mountain today, that is the best i have seen him play, ever, he was everything you want in a forward playing in a 4-5-1.

"While Jagielka and Sylvain Distin were subduing Fernando Torres – not the most demanding of tasks, given the disappearance of every trace of coltish spring from the Spanish striker's stride – up at the other end Sotirios Kyrgiakos and Martin Skrtel were being led a harrowing dance by Yakubu Ayegbeni, who scattered them time and again like an armoured car sent into battle against spear-throwers."

Daily Fail:

"If Everton finally scaled the peaks and ran Liverpool into the ground, it was with good reason.

They had been hitting the heights all week after a bonding session that included tackling some of the Lake District’s most spectacular mountain-tops.

Skipper Phil Neville admitted the choice of venue intially took him aback but was hailing it as a Moyes masterstroke by the time his climbing boots had been packed away.
‘The manager has a way of doing things that get the best out of you, and he has pulled it off again,’ said the Everton skipper.
‘When he mentioned a break, I thought he might have had somewhere like Dubai in mind. A nice bit of sunshine for a few days.

‘When he said the Lake District, there probably wasn’t quite the same level of enthusiasm. But it turned into one of the best trips we’ve ever had.
'We did everything together, and I can honestly say the sight of Yakubu walking up a mountain is a memory that will live with me a long time.’"
