Pienaar 7- His usual effervescent self.
Osman 6- Failed to spot Rodwell wide open. Not as much impact as you would like.

You were obviously watching a different game to me:

Pienaar: 5 - was he on the pitch in the first half?
Osman: 8 - at the heart of EVERYTHING. Great skill on show, won a poor ball before being hacked down for the free-kick for our first goal. Villa targeted him in the first few seconds for rough treatment - he got up (several times), dusted himself down and got on with it. Best player in a Blue shirt by a country mile. Cahill, Heitinga and Howard next best.

Only saw the second half myself, thought Pienaar didnt do much going forward but got back well and made some good interceptions, and I remember him doing something good going forwards, but now i cant remember it. Osman was pretty similar I think, good defensively, but generally quiet attack-wise, but most of the team were second half.

Boy this one hurt me deeply. Just finished watching the game. Couldn't see how we tied this one but we did. Ties have took there toll on us lately point wise but even though I think Europe is but a dream now I feel very good about our future.

Arteta & Donovan absences have been tough for us in the run in. I hope a extended loan for the Galaxy man will be in order.

This season has been unusual for us for giving up the lead against brum, arsenal, west ham and villa we could not hold on to the lead but 2-2 at villa is not a bad result at all.
The negatives for me were bily and yakubu both not good enough for me and we have to keep hold of pienaar he is class look how hard he works.

I haven't followed the thread and didn't come online delibrately after the game last night as I was so pissed that i may would have said some words out of anger that shouldn't have been said.

Now that I was cooled down after a 9 hour sleep, I can say that i think that IT'S OFF. Twice took the lead in consecutive games and blew it ourselves. Jagielka has this thing against villa maybe that he screws up. He did it at GP last season and I don't know if he was pushed or not cos if he wasn't then that was a pathetic piece of defending and misplacing the header.

Moyesy brought the yak off like he always does for saha but here's the thing. The chance captain pip got at the death was marvelous and he did the best he could and i would have ripped my shirt apart had that gone in but then i thought."that's where you need a goal scorer...that's where you should regret taking the yak off." Even if a striker is tired he has that goal scoring instinct in him and is likely to give a you a goal if given a chance.

Howard-7
neville-7 (what a nutmeg)
jags-6
distin-7
baines-8
osman-8
heitinga-7
pienaar-6
billy-5
rodwell-6
saha-7
yak-7.5(looks sharper)

Blackburn and stoke away. They got nothing to play for and I can see them frustrating us tbh. Tough tough places to go these and for me we may just have missed a glorious chance. The media will say that everton are unbeaten in 20 games but the last three have been losses for me.

We threw it away , granted . However , that was THE BEST we have played there since the Cahilll / Arteta / Osman show , when Bent should've had 6 .

We were sound as last night , despite Johnny going off , and Timmy grabbing his thigh every two mins from early 2nd half .
The Goalie ??? , ...
I've never ben a fan , meself . Last night showed why .
1 X boss , goal saving save .
1 X [Poor language removed] , I've just thrown one in - IN EXTRA FUKN TIME !!! - .

Still , we turned up .

L.C.A.B. - Out .

You forgot Timmy , Fadd' !!!

That's you , played your Joker . kid .

9-10 , for me , last night .

We were very unlucky last night but OG's happen. Villa were poor generally and are most of the time. A player such as Donovan is really needed in the summer, he wont leave LA, not yet, plus hes no spring chicken and a 3/4 year deal which he would require wouldnt give us value for money IMO.
The Yak is in a terrible run of form, he has done jack [Poor language removed] all season for us, Saha has done his best but we do need more players. Players like Jonny H are what we need, angry and fearless and will do anything to get the result. Him going off last night was a major factor in why we didnt wrap it up.
Im more annoyed about the start of the season, if we didnt play so ******* [Poor language removed] we would be looking down at teams like Villa, spurs and the redshite!

Here's to next season lads...

The yak was [Poor language removed] mate he is unfit and uninterested when saha came on he kept the ball and created things.
The yak has to go in the summer he is well past his sell by date.

We were unlucky ...very unlucky last night...thought we ad em for a while there.....I'm not blaming Tim or Jags for that goal, it was a wicked inswinging ball into no-mans land, Jags got his head to it first, but unfortunately and it wa sunfortunate he directed it towards our goal. It was just one of them things....chill..life goes on.

2 points of note however

1 - Our strikers are not delivering at the mo, that is a fact, this area needs sorting out....we need a raging bull of a centre forward with desire and hunger.

2 - We desperately need our little spaniard back in the team, his presence lifts everyone, and he is pure silk

Apart from that we're boss

I thought Yakubu's hold up play was alright. Most the time when it was hit long to him, he controlled and held it up decently.

He wasn't great, but he wasn't as poor as most of you are making out.

Agree only one team led in the game. Only one team played football in the game, and that was us.

Villa do the Watford thing and just sling the ball in. Thats the intention. Its the only thing they know.

I'd hate to be a villa fan. They are a one-trick pony.

Cahill was immense in this game, and frankly I'm at a loss at us not getting three points.

Villa were restricted to few chances and did the old HOOF got a deflection and well that saved them.

And that was without Fellaini or Arteta or Heitinga (in the 2nd half)

Can't agree with that.

Except for his touch Yak did alright first half. He needs to run more at goal. But these Yak comments are abit boring now. He played well as did Saha when he came on.
