The 2 were scored by an attacking midfielder from crosses. I take it you have overwhelming confidence that our strikers will produce the goods.

"a top class striker is essential.saha isnt getting any younger and i just dont rate the yak.
a back up keeper and lb is secondary." Some one's view from another thread!!

Good point that, I was hoping one of our strikers would try and make the position their own but they're massively [Poor language removed] at the moment.

Thought Saha was good when he came on. Yak the less said the better.

So no right winger with pace then?

Right...........

Yeah, I do have confidence in the strikers. Cahill's there to get goals, and he did. Just need more creativity rather than just Pienaar and ya know, create chances for the strikers. We hardly create anything that doesnt involve set pieces or crosses most of the time. Saha created most of his goals on his own. Where are the defence splitting balls, the tee-ing up for the strikers? We dont have that.

And after the numerous fouls that brought injuries and the dives that brought freekicks? You make your excuses, I shall cast my condemnation.

You think we should retaliate?? And your condemnation? What are you, God?? Deary deary me.

You absolute horror.

There is no knee jerking there.

My appologies. Moyes OUT. And feck that Round off while you're at it. We've been sh*t since he came.

Classic BBC on the live updates. Not one mention of our match since FT. No, no they are not London-centric. Don't be silly.

I seen that, as though Villa v Everton wasn't a significant fixture enough to take their tedious droolfest away from White Hart Lane.

They're massive helmets on that BBC update thing so they deserve our pity anyway.

own goals always come from one of your players.

i'm still narky, as you can see. bill beaumont out.

Im excited, cant wait! Cahill scores 2 today....

Good call.

given the way we've been playing. The [Poor language removed] we served up at Wolves and against West Ham, we'd be lucky to get a point, but having said that Villa are having their usual end of season slump. They are tired, there morale has had a battering - if ever there was a time to beat them its today.

Still reckon an entertaining 2-2 draw today.

Another good call.

Great for us, the one thing Villa don't have is an energy reserve. The game is being played on our terms so far, looking good, but all season we've been liable to give game-changing goals away at the stupidest possible time, just have to hope it doesn't happen again tonight.

Geez you need to be picking lottery numbers.

And to think some people wanted him dropped and sold, shame on YOU.

Exactly. The guy's an Everton legend already.

Ashley Young the dirt bird, nstraght red that hope the FA nail him!

If it was against the big three, yeah. Against Everton, they won't even look at it.

Howard should have said dont care what anyone says!

There goes the season!

Season was over after the draws against Brum and West Ham although I don't think anyone really wanted to admit it.

Seconds before we should have killed it. Rodwell really should have found Saha.

Nightmare. Epitomises our season

Yes it does Danny. Yes it does.

Europe is indeed possible, Villa will drop points no doubt. Question is...will we?

We already have. We're not qualifying for Europe. End of.

I dont think we [Poor language removed] ourselves, that last goal was unlucky and I [Poor language removed] you not if Donovan was still here, we'd have won that game. We lacked pace getting forward when there were acres of space.

Reminded me of the Citeh game away....but we didnt conceed then. We were organised and did well at set-pieces and hitting the break.

Overall we had the better chances...Ossie had about 3. Neville at the end, Bily in the 1st half. Rodders squares that ball over with a good pass, Saha gets the 3rd, his 14th, and we get 3 points.

Hate to say it, but I think we miss Donovan. Badly.

He gave us something, that we are lacking at the moment. In a game as open as that, he would have had a field day.

Need a proper right winger.

Agreed. Is it me or has our form just dropped a bit since he left? We aren't losing but we aren't winning either.

The fight was there tonight. The display was very good. Yes we drew a game we should have won, but to suggest there was no fight or passion is a pathetic argument.

Agreed.

That's a point like.

Yet it feels like a loss. Just like the last two. I think I'm gonna go watch a movie or something.
