Can't agree with that.

Except for his touch Yak did alright first half. He needs to run more at goal. But these Yak comments are abit boring now. He played well as did Saha when he came on.

Yak played really well last night and has been for about 3 weeks. Indeed these comments about yak being [Poor language removed] are boring. When he scores 15 + next season the same people will be like "feed the yak and he will score...feed the yak and he will score"

Saha and Yak upfront....when will I see that happening?

I thought Yakubu's hold up play was alright. Most the time when it was hit long to him, he controlled and held it up decently.

He wasn't great, but he wasn't as poor as most of you are making out.

THIS. I got home at 1am last night from the game. And certainly can't complain about a single Everton performance.

Villa got lucky. This wasn't a case of the West Ham second goal. This was a lucky punt into the box a crowd went up and they got a deflection. Yet they'll say thats Villa's goal of the season.

And to all the SNIDES - Cahill was unbelievably good last night.

Tackling. passing. heading. The complete performance.

The yak was [Poor language removed] mate he is unfit and uninterested when saha came on he kept the ball and created things.
The yak has to go in the summer he is well past his sell by date.

Daz' , I've said the same for time , but I thought he did OK last night .
He was puting it in , had no luck , and as for Saha ; it's 6 , and two fukn 3's !!!

You play Saha at B'burn ; he doesn't fukn show !!!

2 Strikers , pls , Mr. Kenwrong . Alas , as I have an , " in " , I KNOW IT WON'T FUKN HAPPEN , THOUGH .

NOT INCLUDING BECKFORD !!!

THIS .

DIDN'T WE SHARP'S ????

Agree only one team led in the game. Only one team played football in the game, and that was us.

Villa do the Watford thing and just sling the ball in. Thats the intention. Its the only thing they know.

I'd hate to be a villa fan. They are a one-trick pony.

Cahill was immense in this game, and frankly I'm at a loss at us not getting three points.

Villa were restricted to few chances and did the old HOOF got a deflection and well that saved them.

And that was without Fellaini or Arteta or Heitinga (in the 2nd half)

When I said 9/ 10 to Faddy , I MEANT TIMMY !!!

MY FUKN HERO !!!

An' I'm not a HUGE fan of Antip's , tbh .

Ask McB , Bund's , Biggy' , etc , ... Apart from Warna .

You were obviously watching a different game to me:

Pienaar: 5 - was he on the pitch in the first half?
Osman: 8 - at the heart of EVERYTHING. Great skill on show, won a poor ball before being hacked down for the free-kick for our first goal. Villa targeted him in the first few seconds for rough treatment - he got up (several times), dusted himself down and got on with it. Best player in a Blue shirt by a country mile. Cahill, Heitinga and Howard next best.

100% Agree.

Last night was another very frustrating night for us, we outplayed them in every department but only came away with a point.

I think Howard could have definitely done better for their 2nd- jags had to get something on the ball- he was just very unlucky that it went towards the goal rather than away from it.

Cahil was like a man possesed- superb. Pienaar was a bit frustrating the amount of time he spent on the deck- what was that all about!

Anyway- this was the game that would make or break our push for Europe and unfortunately I do not think we will now finish in that bracket.

Yakubu has been awful when he has played this season apart from the odd game he is not good enough for us now.
Whether you think its boring or not its an opinion of many evertonians .

He has improved since his awful return from the injury. It's all there to see mate. I know it's an opinion but it's a bit harsh to say that he has to leave in the summer. He's no beattie who couldn't score a goal in open play in the 06/07 season. He deserved to be sold. People like yak, simply don't.

Look at the way we play now we create more chances than we have in the past but it breaks down in the box we lack a striker to put it away since saha has stopped scoring.
Yakubu to me just has lost his instinct and is too lazy to get it back,we need a hungry worker upfront to finnish off our good play.
I agrre about beattie he went at the right time just like bent and to me its time for yakubu and vaughan to move on

I heard a guy tell a lad to stop criticising Everton players last night at the Villa game, the lad was crucifying Billy early in the game (not really for any good reason - more habitual). Fair play he was right all this lad was doin was ****gin our players off.

I think you should lay off the Yak abit. I was there and apart from his first touch he did very well bringin other players in and did alot of work defensively.

... and was starting to make runs against defenders which he's not done enough recently. Thats possibly a confidence thing though.

Some people just have it in for players. He certainly wasn't lazy last night!

Correct. He's now starting to get confidence to go past players. Something he stopped doing Was certainly unafraid of Villa's defenders even with knees in the back and all sorts.

Dunne and Collins got swatted off like flys.

Its not a case of laying off yakubu its my opinion i dont think he is good enough for us anymore,i watched the game last night and he did not have one effort at goal which is what a striker is there for.
He had a chance last night to cement a 1st team place and he blew it we looked far sharper when saha came on he took players on and held the ball up well, last night the yak lost it a lot and miss placed quite a few passes
