The Washington Post reckons we could be heading over to the US again for the MLS All-Star game (whatever that is) this summer. Looks like the Oz plans have anyway died a death.

Didn't hear about the MLS all stars but hearing Real Salt Lake wants us back. We must have been a good draw around that area. Every time Moyes goes across the pond good things happen. I hope it stay that way.

Trust me I have no clue either. I guess the same reason ESPN likes to show stuff like Texas Hold'em Poker, Bowling, and the Spelling Bee instead of the MLS.

Most leagues here have an "all star" match where the top players play against each other.
MLS however has gone a step further and invited high quality foreign teams to come over and play. To tell you the truth, this would be a very good thing for Everton from a marketing standpoint as MLS All Star Weekend is the only match that is happening and most MLS supporters will tune into the match. It will also be nationally televised and will be on ABC or ESPN.
I think Everton would be an ideal opponent.
Oh, and if you think Everton will walk over the MLS All Stars, think again. They'll give Everton or whoever they play a game and would probably win the match (fitness, midseason form, etc....)

Wasn't it West Ham who came over last year? I think it was. I remember watching to match, and MLS won ... but Hammers played mostly reserves if I remember right.
What it'll mean to Everton (or any PL team who comes) is it's just a pre-season friendly that just happens to be on TV in the U.S.
