2025/26 David Moyes

We’ve got new owners who unlike the last incumbents, actually seem to have a clue. We’ve got a brand new stadium which let’s face it, is incredible. The revenue and commercial streams are increasing thus easing the PSR albatross that’s be around our neck for years. We now actually have some kind of transfer kitty, and yet we STILL have people championing David Moyes as the “safe pair of hands we need”. Seriously??

This club has been run so so badly for over 30 years now that all ambition seems to evaporated away and fans are content with not being in a relegation battle.

As a fan who’s lived through the glory years and seen us win just about everything, it’s soul destroying to see what some Evertonians now find acceptable. Sad times.
Spot on that mate, especially the point about fellow Evertonians.

The bar they have to clear is insanely low. Moshiri and Kenwright. Is it possible to run us worse than those two did for the past 20+ years combined?

The Friedkins have only had a few big decisions to make so far but they've got them right. Jibbing off Dyche, hiring Moyes, not renewing Thelwell. Got to trust them.

The people they’ve brought in have absolutely no track record to speak of in football. What has Angus Kinnear ever achieved? What about Nick Hammond? I’ll start trusting them when I start seeing results. Last summer’s transfer window was an utter pig’s ear, said it at the time and it only looks worse as time goes on. Kinnear told us to judge them at the end of the window, so I did and will continue to keep a keen eye on what they do throughout this coming summer.

It would be nice to have a manager who doesn’t worry about who we are up against. We played a West Ham today who are fighting relegation yet we have a manager who went there today with a safety first, negative , keep it tight and hope to nick one attitude. We should have got at them from the off because they had a lot more to lose than us.
In a nutshell.
And then to tell us how fantastic Thomas Soucek is……. Paving the way for his arrival in the Summer.

A victim of his own success and the tightness of the league ATM, IMO..when you think where this squad's been over the recent years it's crazy what's expected now. It can't all be down to Grealish and KDH...there's still rust under that primer...over to you TFG.
Or, being in eighth wasn't the achievement some claimed it to be given the tightness of the league?

100% THIS....football is supposed to be an outlet, providing excitement. Not always achievable obviously but at least strive for it:)

He practically threw the game away starting Barry despite what he said in P/C and knowing what Barry plays like and keeping him on. Then blamed sun for the performance really, when we only started to have a little go about half way 2nd half and for me only looked like we may score those final 10mins (which we off course did). From there i thought only one winner and that been us, but typical Everton have to destroy us fans again and again
Think it was more West Ham getting nervous and dropping 20 yards that give us impetus. But we should have been in the front foot from the get go

But we have less points at the moment, than the previous 2 yrs and we now have more losses this season than last. So far Moyes hasn’t kicked us on this season, which is failure imo

Well we are not in 8th are we. We are in 11th with a game against Man City coming up. After the Liverpool meltdown, Davey came out and said what a great team Liverpool are...after losing to a piss poor WHU, Davey came out and spent his tome talking about how great the lumbering Soucek is...Moyes is completely tone deaf. He is as motivating as stale egg sandwich. Boring AF. Imagine playing for that week in week out. He is the KING of mediocrity.

He’s definitely steadied the ship and im delighted not to be in a relegation battle but it’s all so underwhelming isn’t it

Unfortunately for Moyes he’s at a club that have achieved the square root of nothing for decades and being a blue apart from nail biting relegation battles has been dull and uninspiring . As a fanbase I think a lot would prefer to twist than stick particularly when you see clubs like palace enjoying themselves , the growth of Villa , forest in a semi final and Brighton /bournemouth & Brentford closing in on a European place .

I’d be happy with him in place but I totally understand those clamouring for change and if he stays he’ll need to show improvement again as I don’t think standing still is an option .
He’s been part of the club for a lot of the Decades you talk about, do you really think a 63 dour football manager, who’s scared to win games will/can change his approach to the game. Never going to happen.

And we Haven’t been in a relegation battle for 3 yrs

….ha, ha, just because I’m not a happy back slapper.

Regardless of who the manager is, it’s not an ‘old team’ but it’s another stick to hit Moyes with ;)
Of course it’s an old team, the stats back it up. 2x 33 yr old CB’s yesterday. Is that young ?? You’re like Bill, you just want a nice friendly Club that’s never upsets the cartel , the people’s club, you will be calling for Baines, Coleman or carsley to get the job when Moyes goes.
