But we have less points at the moment, than the previous 2 yrs and we now have more losses this season than last. So far Moyes hasn’t kicked us on this season, which is failure imo

Or, being in eighth wasn't the achievement some claimed it to be given the tightness of the league?

A victim of his own success and the tightness of the league ATM, IMO..when you think where this squad's been over the recent years it's crazy what's expected now. It can't all be down to Grealish and KDH...there's still rust under that primer...over to you TFG.

I think I'll be ok with this being the bulk of my reply but who knows, the internet loves its verbal firework displays. To keep it short, yes lads, that's what I was getting at.

I know this reply may smell snooty but I'm a lover, not a fighter; unless you're RS or it's 2001, when I possessed the energy for the online octagon. I just realized it's Sunday, too, and even though I'm not religious. I'd just like to enjoy my cuppa.

But yes, I sense there's been another mass perspective loss... and I'm surely not an innocent bystander. If you combine the derby loss and the implications of Saturday's result, in addition to over 3 decades of various forms of football fan trauma, then the Mersey becomes a bit misty and you can't see the Wirral (do you really want to? Wools chime in...).

I think the sun needs to rise a little higher before that fog o' fume begins to lift.

Onwards Everton... you 💩🏚️

I'm with the majority in that Moyes should've shaken the squad up during the last couple of games. He's been too set on who he thinks is his best XI even when they're out of form.

I actually think the lack of games has really done us over this season. Games in Europe or even a venture into the later rounds of the League Cup could've given some players a lot more time on the pitch.

People who argue that Europe would stretch us too much might have a point but I think there is the opposite argument to that as well. Even between West Ham and City on Monday night we've got another 9 day gap.

The bar they have to clear is insanely low. Moshiri and Kenwright. Is it possible to run us worse than those two did for the past 20+ years combined?

The Friedkins have only had a few big decisions to make so far but they've got them right. Jibbing off Dyche, hiring Moyes, not renewing Thelwell. Got to trust them.

I don’t see removing Thelwell & giving Moyes the veto on player purchases as a right decision. If Thelwell was still here we would have new decent full backs as a minimum.

QQ - what sort of duration constitutes a blip?

Asking for a mate.
It’s a spirited come back for sure and I for one am willing the Moyes h8rz on for the good of the site. Problem is they only win then they control consensus and help pressure Everton to flame Moyes.

I feel we’re at least half a season away from this best case scenario

Diplodocus Davey has his new dynamic midfield duo eyed up to replace the ageing IGG and the woeful Dwight McSnail…..the ever youthful Tommy Soucek and that no-neck Haggis- muncher John McGinn.

Do they? Genuinely curious to know what’s given you the impression that they have a clue about the sport of football.
I think you missed the point ,they are business men and only want success ,they don't need to know about football ,it would just make us feel better if they did and not the fact that they are mercenaries making money . They haven't even been to see "their team " .
