2025/26 David Moyes

Still chuckling at the fact that people actually believe that replacing around 10 players who left by spending 100m on 8 players means we should automatically be doing better.

It simply doesn’t work that way.
I'm not saying that means we should automatically be doing better. I'm saying you can't spend that amount on development players and then do nothing to develop them.

Finishing 12th while playing negative football and watching the likes of Mykolenko and McNeil play every week is very different to finishing 12th playing attacking football and actually using young players.

There's no progression in how Moyes has been using this team, there's nothing you can point to and say this is why we will be better next season than we were this season.

The only defence of Moyes is that somebody else might be worse. What cowardice and fear.

What we do know is that Moyes will have us safely irrelevant. The only people that should really suit are owners who wish to nurture their investment and flip when the time is right. Because fans have got to hope for more. Being 11th in the Premier League every year, out of both cups, and reliably defeated in ever-more painful ways in derbies is a largely pointless existence. Far better to take a calculated risk at achieving more than Brighton, Brentford, and Bournemouth can - or are we that scared of our shadows?

This season isn't any different to what I expected.

It's felt good to be safe in mid table but the football is joyless and we could've been right in the mix Europe/Cups with a more positive approach.

It'll be about the same next season.

And maybe the season after that if he gets an extension.

We've got no control who TFG have as manager.

Hmm, I would say more flexibility in his approach. I would say it brought good wins vs Chelsea, Villa and United for example.

But also cost in more winnable games, where we should have approach way more positive.

Well it has, hence us being 3 points off 6th.

Other teams spent money too and are also entitled to improve also.
The biggest frustration this year for me is that most of our money was spent on players we don't even use. I'm not sure how that has happened. Baffling to be honest.

Clearly there is a big problem somewhere in our recruitment system.

The certainty of bottling opportunities and staying mediocre with Moyes Vs striving to achieve.
Happy clapping really has some fans in a headlock.

Yep, I don’t think there’s anybody who isn’t frustrated at that.

Available managers this summer;
-Glasner
-Iraola
-Maresca
-Pochettino

I’d take any of these over Moyes.

First one is below us in the league table.
Second one is above us by 2 points.
3rd one was sacked.
4th one has done nothing since he left Spurs.

If any of those managers wanted to come to us, I would be amazed if they improved us.

Help me shake off this premonition...Moyes goes and Howe comes in.

He is a coward. I thought from the negativity he gave off in his pre-match press conference that we would lose today. And his post match just seems like he's not bothered.

This has always been the thing with him- he's one of the best at moving you to a certain level quickly. But the glass ceiling has never been money or the clubs he's at, it's always been Moyes himself.

To be a top manager (particularly in the modern game) you simply have to be brave sometimes. And he isn't. At all.

Jep, not writing them off, but 70m spent on 2 players that either don't play a role or don't seem an upgrade.

This might be a bit of a stretch but it's not completely unrealistic to think...

Moyes wanted Soucek, McGinn etc. Club have said we want younger players

Moyes has agreed (reluctantly) and just found any excuse not to play them.

His ego is very fragile.
