Everton target Harry Wilson’s contract negotiations with Fulham have been put on hold.
The Welshman has been linked with the Toffees this month, with just six months remaining on his current deal.
Aston Villa, Brentford and Crystal Palace are also said to be interested in the 28-year-old.
A number of unnamed European clubs are also on alert at his potential availability this summer.
Wilson reportedly wants clarity on the future of Fulham manager Marco Silva before renewing terms at Craven Cottage.
Silva’s contract is also up this summer, and is yet to commit beyond the end of this season.
NO CHANCE WILSON AVAILABLE THIS MONTH, ACCORDING TO SILVA
However, the Portuguese coach has insisted that Wilson will not be sold this month.
The in-form winger has scored seven goals in 21 league games this season, contributing four assists.
With another goal and an assist in the FA Cup, his total for Fulham is eight goals and five assists in 25 appearances.
In contrast, Everton’s highest goal scorer this season is a three-way tie with Iliman Ndiaye, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Thierno Barry who have four league goals each.
Dewsbury-Hall and Ndiaye have played fewer games (15 & 16 appearances respectively), while Barry has featured in 22 outings.
Regardless, Wilson’s numbers are impressive, with 13 goal contributions in 25 games for Fulham.
It’s precisely the type of creativity that has been lacking off late, especially while key players have been absent.
Moyes did confirm in today’s press conference that Dewsbury-Hall is back in training. alongside Charley Alcaraz and Jarrad Branthwaite.
Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye are back from AFCON ahead of Monday’s game, but Grealish faces a prolonged period on the sidelines.
However, the Everton boss remained coy on the potential of incomings this month. As for Harry Wilson, we may have to wait until the summer, should he become available.
He might be an ex-Kopite, but he’d be an excellent addition, especially on a free transfer.
