Getting to Everton’s New Stadium

Hill Dickinson Stadium, the new home of Everton Football Club, is located on Liverpool’s northern docklands, approximately two miles from Goodison Park and just under 1.5 miles from the iconic Royal Liver Building in Liverpool City Centre.   • If you’re able, walking from the city centre is your best bet.
  • The stadium is about a 30-minute walk from the city centre.

🚍 Public Transport

🚆 Train

  • The closest station to Hill Dickinson Stadium is Sandhills, which is around a 10-15 minute walk from Everton’s new stadium entrance. It’s OK pre-match, but post match it is chaotic. Avoid it if you can.
  • Sandhills connects to Liverpool city centre stations, Southport, Ormskirk, Kirkby and south Liverpool.
  • Liverpool Lime Street is the main railway station, serving national routes.
  • Merseyrail services from Lime Street to Sandhills Station (on the Northern Line) take about 4 minutes.

🚌 Bus

  • Several bus routes serve Regent Road, which runs parallel to Bramley-Moore Dock and Everton’s new stadium.
  • There are four commercially-operated shuttle bus services operating on matchdays, running from two hours before kick-off and from 15 minutes from the final whistle, but not during the match.

🚲 Cycling

  • Cycle parking stands are available for supporters to use. These are located along the dock wall inside the stadium site. 
  • Supporters are advised not to cycle within the road closure areas through crowds of supporters.
  • Liverpool’s cycling infrastructure includes paths along the docks and city centre, which offers a pleasant ride to Everton’s new stadium.

🚖 Taxi & Rideshare

  • There are three ranks at Hill Dickinson Stadium. These are located at
    • Sandhills Station 
    • Boundary Street, near junction with Vauxhall Road 
    • Dublin Street  
  • Black cabs and app-based taxis (Uber, etc.) operate in Liverpool.

Inside Hill Dickinson Stadium

The Fan Plaza: This is the heart of the pre-match experience. Greeting all fans as they enter the stadium footprint, the plaza opens three hours ahead of kick-off. It’s an enclosed, secure space where you can grab a drink, listen to pre-match music, and soak up the atmosphere before entering the bowl.

Digital & Cashless: The stadium is entirely cashless and relies on digital ticketing. Ensure your ticket is loaded into your mobile wallet before you reach the gates to avoid signal issues.

The Concourses: The concourses are designed to handle high footfall, but they do get busy at half-time.

The Atmosphere & View: The stands are famously steep, which is a design choice intended to keep fans as close to the pitch as possible for maximum volume. If you’re sitting in the upper tiers, be prepared for a panoramic view – and a bit of a climb.

Nearby Bars

We recommend Liverpool city centre for a pre-match pint, but there are a few right on the doorstep of the new stadium if you’d prefer to somewhere in the immediate proximity.

The Terrace Bar: Located next door to the previous, and – as the name suggests – it boasts a terrace with a great view. Nice, but don’t expect to gain access on a match day unless you’re an early bird.
