Goals from Leighton Baines and Oumar Niasse see Everton come from behind twice to earn a point at Selhurst Park. Match report to follow.…
Paul Davies Palace are improving, conditions were awful and we were away from home. I feel a Koeman side would have buckled after the soft first goal, but under Unsworth it is 'never say die'. A real battling point and another step towards regaining our confidence.
Carl Peate Being happy with a point against a team bottom of the league, just shows how poor we are. We were outplayed, some of our players are going through the motions. Time for the board to act now,
Duncan Wright At least Rhino has got us scoring goals, 5 in 2 games. Three points would have been useful but at least we didn't lose.
Michael Banks Fuck, we need Barkley, Bolasie and Colman back sooner rather than later. This team is a shambles, didn’t even deserve a point today.
Louis Harwood 1st goal wasn't a pen. 2nd goal put on the plate. At least they had movement and fight and made there goals. Most of our goals are coming from pens or mistakes or luck and we don't have a clue what we are doing. Well done to niasse.
Kieran Morgan palace have turned a corner under hodgson, so it was always going to be a tough game. we need to offer more going forward though, but unsworth made all the right calls today in terms of personnel. maybe needed rooney but it was a decent set up. overall- solid, nothing special, but solid.
Barry O'loughlin What kind of a question is that?
2 lost dickhead .... need a total revolution starting in the boardroom or we’re going to be even more obscure than we have been for the last 22 Years - SHAMEFUL AND A DISGRACE
Gareth Scott Palace weren't that bad today. They played well and came out of the blocks early. We got into the game and made the right changes at half time. I don't agree with someone the players playing but the way we played second half, we could have won it with Calvert Lewins chance and a few others.
We were lucky with their mistakes but we battled and that's something that hasn't happened much this season. There are positives but Unsworth unfortunately isn't the answer.
All hail Marco Silva!
Kevin Boyle Everton fans must be the worst moaning bastards ever and think money and managers just appear from no where. Reality check, Koeman fucked us up and left a relegation battle, there isn’t a manager out there that could guarantee changing that overnight. Unsworth has given Niasse a chance and other young players and doing better than Koeman with his expensive signings. There has been an improvement in play and results under Unsworth, maybe he isn’t long term but he deserves credit and backing from fans
Neil 'Beau' Gambon Again all the faults created by ourselves.... from the back Pickford is a great shot stopper but hasn’t a clue what to do with the ball to keep possession as he constantly rushes getting the ball back in play and invariantly passes to the opposition? I would normally say the back four but it seems to be a back 10? As we don’t move forward quick enough and giving the ball back and losing possession always having to defend! You can see why we can’t entice a good manager .... who’d come.... I hate to slag off the blues but this is absolute S###!
Thomas Ashton We just played the worst team in the leauge by a country mile who were about to equal the worst points tally in prem history after 12 games, and they made themselves look like barcelona against us. In the end we were fuckimg lucky to get a point, but there is no fucking way I'm classing a draw as a good result against fucking palace, if I accept that we may as well just accept being relegated.
Mike Wheeler It’s not a defeat that’s main thing and coming from 2-0 down against Watford and winning then today being 1-0 down then 2-1 down I think it shows the players are gaining in confidence if that was a few games ago we could of lost I would have liked 3 points today but I take 1 point so let’s keep moving in the right direction EFC
Andy Patton more evidence that we are knackered with this team of players. Time for Jags and Baines to step down, Davies, kenny, niasse, not good enough. DCL not a premiership player. The rest not worth a mention at this point. Big money spent on players that are not good enough. Keane & sigi
Mike Owens Good point under the circumstances.
Yes, we shouldn’t be happy with just a point at Palace blah, blah, blah..
We’re shit at the moment, we all know that, it’s someone’s fault, but we’re in a fight, we aren’t going to change over night.
None of us like it.
You can bleat about it, and make no difference, or you can dig in and support. Your choice.
Maybe go away and wait until we’re a bit better and support us again then.
David Jago 2 points lost we can’t beat bottom of the league opposition what chance have we got. The players need to take a long hard look at themselves.
Chris Toft Should be winning these games, but at least Unsworth has us in the mindset that we come back and score, under Koeman we would have lost. On the plus side, Niasse scores again, we would be in all kinds of crap if we didn't have that guy. Just hang in until January, things will improve. Keep Unsworth as manager for the moment, at least we're playing with some belief and passion
John See Am I the only one when looking at Marco Silva just sees another version of Martinez? A young, slick foreign manager, Good with predominantly Championship level sides who loves to attack but tends to be wide open at the back. We are Everton, we need quality not ‘flash in the pan’ style.
I would give Dyche a chance to give the club a period of stability and no fuss organisation, giving an English manager a chance to take the step up along with the club.
Steven Berry The longer we go without losing the better for these players, its all confidence. Point gained in my eyes, last week we had a must win and we did, this week palace had a must win and we took a point away from home. No easy ganes in PL stop moaning ya bunch of kopites 😆😆😆
Craig Holman Is it just me (or the Blues fans) or are the board not taking this situation seriously? I am REALLY worried here but the board is giving the impression that everything is cool! We should be making our intended manager, obvious! One man and so whatever we can to get him! No stuffing around Allardtce, Dyche or anyone else. Stop this shit! Get the man before its too late!! Give him a couple games to see how shite the players are so he can sell the lot (pr most) in January and get a few in to save us! This is desperate times!! And by the way 1 point gained today simply based on the performance. How the hell Palace didn't win only the good Lord above knows. I love this club, passionately, but the board seems to be the total opposite. Is it just me?
Bernard Crilly This squad is a result of the 'Poor' buying by the Club earlier in the season, bad judgements have been made but I believe that individual confidence has to be restored by accepting that performances will not be to everyone's liking at the moment.Points are the aim when you are in the bottom half of the table. We have taken '4' from '6' . Be patient with the 'temporary Manager'.
Soni Samuel P Happy with a point even though we dint deserve it. We are getting out played and we are just sitting and soaking it in. Not the way to play, Niasse for all his faults and lumbering runs gets us openings, we just need someone on either flanks to complement him while keeping it tight at the back. Schneiderlin is not doing us any favours nor is Gylfi!! Right now both are just body counts in the playing 11. I would rather start with Rooney instead of Gylfi. Sandro and Kalssen should get more playing time to get used to the PL, its not that we are firing on all cylinders and those 2 will come in an disrupt our "game"!!! Waiting for Coleman and Funes to come in on either flanks, move Baines up front as he has lost his legs (& probably the will as well) to run up and down the pitch!!
Rickie Heaney Point gained imo, palace are improving since woy took over and will be making there way up the table sooner rather than later, tough place to go but the board need to stop pissing about and get a permanent manager in. Niasse in that first half for me was different class to any other efc player
كاشفي رامان Everton missed fewer chances. Although Wilfred Zaha was causing problems on the left-flank, Kenny and Lennon defended well. I don't think there's much of game plan going forward yet, but the side is improving.
Mick Flaherty It has to be seen as a point gained given the horror show of a season .... we have been shite in the last two games ( we have been even worse than that prior ) and came away with 4 points . It's not where we want to be , but at this point we have to fight tooth and nail for every point on the board until we can get a striker in and fill some gaps in January.
Neil Birkenhead I think there is a power struggle going on in the boardroom..... think Bill needs to take a step back... he bleeds blue but think he hanging on far too long ... Swansea said they dealt with 5 different people regarding sig deal..... we made palace look good first half sitting back... thought we were lucky with a point. . Hopefully we get a manager appointed soon...
