If you was to rate Sam Allardyce's performance at Everton 0-10... what would you score him?
It has to be a 0, the man is so negative and doesnt care about the club at all just his own wallet. He is the only manager to make me stop going to 2 away games as i couldnt take watching his style any more. I hope this survey by the club is a resounding 0 out of 10 and the club show him then sack him as soon as possible, dont wait until the summer.
I'm pleased with the appointment of Cenk Tosun, I think Sam has brought in a quality player. Selling Barkley to Chelsea was good business too. I'd like to see him stay for another season. 9/10
2 - We didnt need him, Unsy wasnt given enough time, I believe Unsy could have done better. Can’t wait to see the back of money grabbing Allardyce and his cronies. He could never have any passion for Everton as long as he has a hole in his arse!!!!!
Did the job he was taken on for - so has to be at least a 6 but the limitations of the squad, the mess he took over and his methods of playing while being enough to rescue failing teams and surviving which he does better than anyone, aren't what we need going forward.
I would wait until we can definitely get better though as the dangers of a Pellegrino at Southampton or de Boer catastrophe at Palace can happen to us.
Other clubs are also on the lookout, possibly Arsenal amongst them and with our record in previous managerial appointments being far from impressive, I'd expect it to be hard to both attract and get the right candidate.
I also think Allardyce does have a point in that understandable negativity amongst fans after some of the dismal stuff we've witnessed this season, can be exacerbated and exaggerated on social media sites as a group or supporters site attitude takes over, with each negative post encouraging others and discouraging anyone saying anything in defence or mitigation for fear of being hounded.
I’m completely gobsmacked anyone has anything whatsoever good to say about him. Should never have been associated with our great club and it’s a disgrace that his name will forever appear on the list of managers. There is only one score - zero!!
Can people stop saying he got us out the relegation zone? We were 13th when he took over, he's consistently antagonised fans, lied and I'm fairly certain he started to try and set up to lose once he saw we were only 2 points off a Europa league spot and not in as bad a situation as it was made out to be, he wants us to finish 10th so he can look like a big saviour who helped plucky little relegation battle Everton into a top half finish
10/10 clubs & squad is a complete mess nowt to do with Big Sam really. Rate the current manager lol as if that’s our major problem. Rate the squad/board instead!
If you lot are happy with no ambition and no boring football for another season then god help you lot, first season in 16 years have started to miss games because of them playing on the field
2, he’s done nothing apart from basically lie.....team is no better now than we he took over....major problems, which the senior players have helped look better than he is.....he had a fantastic opportunity to show the footballing world that he was more than a one trick pony....sadly he’s just an arrogant prick....the only thing I would tank him for is Theo....apart from that he’s made millions of pounds out of the club and I’m sure Unsworth would of done the same sort of job,if not better....Get him out now!! 😡😡
7 .. Did the job he was brought into do... Not sure who we expect to come into the club if he leaves.. Who would want to put up with the abuse from certain sections of the fans .. Everyone entitled to opinions thats fair enough but let's not get to dillusional on where we should be with this squad .. Only an opinion ...
They barely even tried to win against United at home. The two performances in the derby were effective, ish, but defensive to the point of nihilism. That’s fine for Bolton. It’s not fine for Everton, and he doesn’t get that, or isn’t capable of change. Taken from twitter
Like Walter Smith, he steadied the ship, with a motley crew of players, after that Southampton game, it was like calling for the priest, to give us the last rites, he did a fair job, but things are still not right, no shape, no plans, nothing to get up about, and a dull future, but overall I would give him a 4 and thank him for a wonderful achievement, unfortunately the jobs to big for him, he thinks mediocrity is good enough, Koeman destroyed the soul of our club, big Sam is the fall guy, who hasn't got a clue on what ,we have been brought up on....football teams with skill, flair and fighting credentials.
I think that it goes far deeper than Big Sam. His appointment didn't help matters, but there is something wrong in the organisation that can have 4 managers in a few years and have the team playing as badly under each one. The thing that made Everton stand out against other teams in the recent past is that despite the lack of funds, the team played for each other and the fans. The club as a whole, staff, manager, players and supporters all felt a part of something to be proud of and defend. Unfortunately something has happened at Finch farm that has infected the players and those around them which has lead to a disconnect with the fans and the management, whoever is in charge. Players not committed and playing for the shirt has lead to managers being 'hung out to dry' and subsequently sacked.
How anyone can consider us as near relegation in November has me beat. I'f you give this plank anymore that two (one for turning up and one for leaving) I'm not sure what your watching and it's about on the park, we have become a laughing stock, as for the after match throwing of everyone under the bus except himself, that shows the true character of the man. Just get rid of this total waste of space.
We are not a Bolton or Sunderland, but we are viewed like these teams at the moment, no disrespect to those teams. If anyone checks the manager stats of Big Sam, he’s lost more than he’s won and conceded more goals than scored across his career. That says it all.
5..was given the task of avoiding relegation which he has achieved. Taking the team forwards is something he hasn't got. He is too negative in his team choice, substitutions and tactics.
What ever score we give Allardyce for his efforts. Fans saying 7 ,6 ,5 Which for me is a joke. But like me you are intitled to your opinion. I never wanted him any where near the club in the first place . He will now be engrained in Everton's history. Which breaks my heart more than any performance we have seen this season.
The clubs a mess as Cahill said lost its identity and careful what you wish for give me the likes of arteta, Cahill , Barkley , Lukaku, pienaar & baines Combo back any day at least we competed as for Sam I don’t like him his tactics or more his attitude stinks but it’s a 7 as we have done better than the clubs around us when we were in trouble , so thanks for that take your cheque and go cause the rest of you is pathetic
4- Saturday was bad enough 1-1 Swansea takes bolasie off brings mori on with 15 to go then with 3 mins to go brings vlasic on?! Has he stayed true to his word on anything Rooney and sigurdsson can't play together he says, then the very next game he plays them in the same side. Should of gone for his reaction after Burnley away, arrogant and greedy man.
There was serious talk of relegation till he came in. He got us to safety. Job done. He's not the man to take us forward at all, we are shite to watch. Solid 8 for job done and dropping williams after his ban.
1.5 on the basis that we moved out of the relegation zone - but it's been the worst, without exception (Walker, Smith, end of Martinez) in my 40 odd years and if he remains then Everton will become far less important to me.
5 “does exactley what it says on the tin” safety football. Containing teams then going for it in the final fee minutes. Boring to watch but keeps you in the league. Not at the desired standard for Everton. I would take a tenth place finish every year if we went all out to win the cup competitions. But what I have seen is not good enough.
1 - not convinced we would be in a different spot if they left Koeman or Rhino in charge. He isn’t getting the best out of this squad. They are better than 1-1 with Swansea off the back of an own goal.
7, he’s done what was asked of him, exactly what we needed but as for staying on he’s had the opportunity since January to show if he is more than a relegation fighting manager but he’s failed to take that opportunity. Give him a big stack of cash and send him on his way! He’s earned his short time dollar, time to start looking forward again, find a longer term manager with ambition, modern tactics, and a new approach! Marco Silva, Fonseca?
4 at most for me. I think we wouldn’t have gone down with Koeman or unsworth. And probably Mike Bassett would have Kept us up especially with players coming back from injury !!
We need an identity??
My 2 choices are simeone and if not Eddie Howe.
Both young and have a great idea of how to play and have the ability to seek out young talent
