Zenit might be sniffing after Fellaini

I guess it depends on where you consider the right places to be.

Lots of people wouldn't agree with me, but if greater wages get you a better player and you can afford it, then that is where I would like the new revenue to go.

But I agree with you to a degree, I wouldn't want it to be spent on a few more 'lawnmowers'.

Yeah pretty much.

I know it's a pipe dream but I'd love this influx of money to be used to grow the business side of things. I think with the bridging loan and the shortfalls we sometimes have that may be it.

If it's not I'd like us to try and get FF back, get out of the kitbag deal and appoint our own team with a proven track record for catering, sales and merchandising.

no need to sell. I would say his price will go up by next summer.

Truthfully, why sell now? The years left won't make a difference, and unless we get the money and buy someone else and integrate them, the Champions League is out of the question. I think it makes no sense to get rid of Felli midseason unless you can bring someone else in to replace him somewhat, or you think you just can't make Champions League anyways.

The only way I'd agree to sell him is if we got 40million. But that's ridiculous.. right?

It's not ridiculous at all. £32-35m is the ballpark figure for me and that's completely realistic; £40m isn't too far a stretch for the most unique midfielder in the world.

The only player like him is Yaya Toure, and I'd like to see a club enquire to Man City about his pricetag.

Hmmm.. true I suppose. His unique-ness really is the key point here. If we sold him we'd need to buy two payers. Plus, we'd need either of them to have some height

is right.
and his price tag rises even more after we look his stats and importance to this team. Selling him would be huge risk so the price must be worth the risk

He wouldn't sign for Zenit - there's absolutely no reason for him to either.

If he goes anywhere it will be to Utd or Chelsea.

£40m, all the money up front, and he plays in a country we'll never see outside of CL games... I'd take that.

Even if the board took £10m/£15m of that, Moyes would find a gem or two with £25m to play with.

yes...and where is hulk now...vanished from the map of football...where is Samba...Etoo

Just some facts
Liverpool population: 1,381,200
St. Petersburg population: 4,879,566

Liverpool size: 111.84 km2
St. Petersburg size: 1,439 km2

Russia has 150 million people and is the largest country in the world. I hope Felli stays unless we get his value but to say that he would fall off the face of the planet if he played in Russia is ignorant. Just because he is not playing in western Europe does not mean that he doesn't exist.

£200k+ a week, that would be a reason to.

Have you seen how much Zenit have spent recently? They spent £64m (SIXTY FOUR MILLION) on two players, Hulk & Axel Witsel in September. They've got some mad Russian billion energy giant Gazpro financing them.

If Zenit come in for him, and the fee is in the £30m+ ballpark, he's gone. To be honest, I wouldn't blame Everton at all if they managed to get a massive fee AND reinvested it back into the team.
