Zenit might be sniffing after Fellaini

We should never underestimate the potential of Zenit. There just about to move into a brand new almost 70000 stadium and will have champion league football every year almost guaranteed.

I don't think he will go to Russia, Zenit might qualify for the Champions League every year, but the standard of the domestic competition is lower than the Premiership and he may not get that much more money.

Zenit will not automatically qualify for the Champions League every year! Where is this assumption coming from anyway? I reckon Russia's association ranking rises and falls (between 6th and 7th position) so they either get 2 or 3 CL qualifying spots. You have to remember all the competition as well, plus factoring in the Anzhi effect. It wouldn't be too hard to see Zenit finishing behind CSKA Moscow, Spartak and Anzhi in the coming years..... and that means no CL for Zenit.

EDIT: Russia only has TWO Champions League spots again next year since their association ranking has fallen.

A lot of people saying that they would be happy to sell to a Russian team because of the money we would receive and he would not play against us domestically, which is a fair point. But when we sell him I want him to be successful! Not to just vanish like those who have already been mentioned. The guy has so much talent, if he leaves then hopefully he makes the right decision, and wins a few trophies

Fellaini is great, but once he leaves Everton I won't be the least bit arsed how successful he goes onto be.

It makes no odds, it's still Russia. The land of corruption, rampant racism, freezing temperatures and p*ss being thrown over players.

It'll never be a top league.

correct

and also hulk and witsel tranfers were completely different, they went from the Portuguese and Belgian league and went for the money, you really think fellaini will leave the premier league to join the russian league.

and also isnt his release fee 24m when he signed his last contract if a CL team comes in for him, so why would teams pay 40m for him, the only way he would leave for higher then that is if a NON CL came in for him

Jags said the same regarding the price
'Unfortunately, with the way the club is, if somebody comes in with a £20million-plus offer, the chances are he's going to be sold."

Zero proof has been given to back this up.
