For me.

Fifa 2005 -was a real Gem, the first touch was brillaint and never got better.

Tony Hawks Underground 1 & 2- exciting, colourful, could get off your board. skate all over the world. The series went slightly down hill after these 2, but in particular after American wasteland which was still good.

NBA 2004- Boss Soundtrack

Smackdown Shut your mouth- got to choose what to unlock after ever event, more backstage arena's and a host of new superstars from the brand merge. close call between this and Here comes the Pain, but the addition of The grapple hold in HCTP made for its downfall imo. However, the series got [Poor language removed] once it turned into Smackdown vs raw.

Cool Borders- ''Youep systems'' Man!

I've used Gog.com myself for a couple of games good site.

Hats off to Dylan for remembering System shock 2 and deus ex great games both of them christ we could go on and on.

Maybe we should have a worst game top five i can think of a few turkeys to go on that list

Could make the infamous list of things like ET and Superman 64, but never played them so I think I'd rather make a more organic list.

My own 5 worst games I've ever played (some of these will irk)

1) ICO
2) Blue Dragon
3) Morrowind
4) Jimmy White's Snooker 2 or whatever the **** that was called
5) Any Baldur's Gate / Icewind Dale / Neverwinter Nights (games with that horrible D+D/Action gameplay)

Can imagine someone ripping apart Ico, would be pretty funny to be fair. I loved it tho.

Morrowind??? I struggled with it for the first part, creating the character and getting to grips with the game, but when I did.....BAM!!! It just took off!

I've tried to play that game...probably about 12 times. I can't get past creating the character. After 25 minutes I get so bored of the ugly civilians I go on killing sprees.

Daikatana was a massive pile of steaming.....

All the hype and it was just plain crap.

Aye it was utter crap simply so bad you had to play it through to see how it ended it didnt disappiont either it was [Poor language removed].

Tomb Raider angel of darkness another hughly hyped game that was dross more or less killed the series with that game

Empires is old dude, that's from last year. Newest installment is Shogun 2, which came out a few months ago. I love it, but i loved the original Shogun to pieces. Loved Rome too. Never actually played empires, but it's gotten a lot of flak for ridiculous conceptions and bad AI.

Huge kudos for mentioning Alone In The Dark. Ridiculously scary game. I played it the first time when i was like 7 and was scarred for life.

1.) Pokémon Yellow - The first handheld game I ever had, and whilst nostalgia's obviously playing a major part here, I can't ignore that for two years as a little kid this game completely absorbed me and got me into videogames. All my mates had Pokémon games so we could trade, battle and laugh at the fact that I'd named Gary Oak "Boobies". Magical.

2.) Mass Effect 2 - A landmark for narrative and lore in videogames. Comparisons to Star Wars are apt, but it manages to not be too derivative of it, and establish its own grand universe. I've got ridiculously high expectations for Mass Effect 3.

3.) Super Mario Bros. 3 - My favourite Mario game because it nailed everything. It was addictive, the difficulty curve was perfect, there was lots of variety and it was just quintessentially Mario. A lot of people prefer Super Mario Land, which is excellent, but I was never fond of Yoshi so this gets the nod.

4.) Halo 3 - Sure the campaign's imperfect, and PC gamers love to be snooty about it, as a staple of console FPSs. But playing with mates in campaign co-op, matchmaking and especially ridiculous custom games is something I spent hours and hours doing. And I was pissing myself laughing all throughout it. Proper fun times. Plus, I think I spent ~200 hours on it online too, which is as telling as it is sad!

5.) Fallout 3 - After recently loving New Vegas I decided to go back and properly play Fallout 3. Now, with 60 hours of my life gone, the main game finished and only 2 of the 5 dlcs remaining, I've got to say this is just a masterpiece. It's a game that can make time just disappear. 1 hour can feel like 3. Personally, as a game, I preferred New Vegas due to the better sense of humour, but there's a bit more depth to Fallout 3 and well... it's not a complete glitchy mess that crashes on you all the time.

I have tears in my eyes RFUS, at your inclusion of number 5. And the only reason it isn't a glitchy mess like New Vegas is because it has been patched to high heaven!

You say that but New Vegas has been patched a lot too. And it still crashed on me more than every other game I've ever played. Combined.

As a game though, I do prefer NV. Multiple endings + added humour + no metros = a better game, for me.
