Your Time Is Gonna Come

Not brilliant at all. Reasonable slapstick writing, and funny as that. Mostly true, but we all knew that anyway. And to suggest that Moyes was pitching for the Spurs job and that it was a good job they didn't want him is nothing more than mischevious. 7 out of 10...but keep 'em coming, I love the passion.

It's no RAWK wank fest write up that you're used to reading, but it's good enough for me.

I think a lot will depend on if we can keep our squad together and fit.

We don't necessarily need to go out and spunk lots of money in January. New players often take time to gel into the team, and that of course goes for all squads, not just ours. I don't really believe it's about the business that we do or don't do in January, especially given than don't have European matches to worry about.

January is not the time to be making wholesale changes to our team. We still have players who we have hardly seen at all this year who can come in and make an impact.

The Toffees has made it so far incredibly well. A final fourth place is in sight – many are cheering even if it’s very early. I love the current situation and I hope it ends that way. And lads I don’t want to be a party killer when I question the squad but when I compare it with the two main competitors for the fourth place I get some doubts. I mean besides Baines and Fellaini, which players in the Everton team would be a starting player in Arsenal or Spurs? The team quality in terms of player’s skill is higher in these teams tbh – at least when it comes to the starting eleven. Everton’s opportunities and chances lie in a better morality, better winner instinct, better motivation, better trained, better prepared, better tactics and much better fans.
So after all when all parameters are measured and compared; Yeah maybe we have a good chance to get it!
And pleae no serious injuries.

Jags, Jelavic.

The former is as good a defender as any of Arsenal or Spurs', and Jelavic has as good a goal ratio as any of their strikers except Defoe.

Jelavic is ace. I dont like when peeps are slotting him from behind like. damn, he is not hot atm but he is a chronic threat to opponents defence. He shall slot'a'lot again.

Tar for all the feedback like, appreciated.

Because of the continual trials of Everton it's conditioned most of us into being cup half empty as we're waiting for the inevitable [Poor language removed] up coming our way as it usually does. Some have pointed out though it can be counter productive in the mindset of the club and staff. We're right in it so it's up to us now.

Agree fully with that like, I wrote it and then read it back and thought I was stating the obvious a bit if I'm being honest so interesting you picked up on it.

Regarding the Moyes thing in the summer he could have put paid to all the rumours with a flat out denial but I thought he kept his options open by not doing that which led me to believe he was playing the media game and showing his interest. I could be wrong like, I often am.

Had a look at your previous posts and saw that you had been on Kipper for years. That explains a lot.

Pienaar & Heitinga would get regular games (I know it didn't work out for Pienaar at Spurs, but I feel it was far more complicated than just a question of football), and so too would Oveido - much more so than he does at Everton.

We have the players.

Fair summation.
Although, there maybe a lot of people out there that, even if they won't admit it to themselves, have this expectation that we have a nailed on right to Improve in the 2nd half of the season.
It ain't neccessarliy so
It 'could' happen but we have to realise that our 1st half form has been the last 5(?) seasons 2nd half form.
There are 3 main options
We will improve ( hope )
We will stay much the same
or
we will fade off ala 04-05
The perennial glass half empty in me, the same one that the last 12mths excepted, has labeled Moyes as a 50% manager with the 04-05 being his masterpiece HOPES it ain't so.
But if we get 'some' incomings to bolster the squad AND they gell.

I will go with the prediction that it is ours to lose, at the start of the season I has us, in a fit of optimism, as good for 3rd, no reason to change that

Things that do my crust in;

All the draws.

All the draws WE ourselve mucked up

All the draws the Reffs mucked up

Howard.

We could be sat right behind City

Nah, our second half of the season form last year was MUCH better compared to other teams around us than this first half has been. We were second in the league in a second half table last year.

I poo-poo your poo-pooing.

As I said our FORM is 2nd half season form. We should be 2nd but for factors beyond our control, Reffs Howard etc
There is no gaurantee it WILL improve
But if it does, all well and good, If we maintain and get a fair crack of the whip 3rd is ours to lose.
