Your Time Is Gonna Come

I'm sorry mate, you've got it all wrong.
What will happen is the 5th May will make our dreams come true.
1-1 and in the 92nd minute we get a free kick, just to the right hand side of the box but only slightly and about 25 or so yards out, Anfield Road end.
That lad who was rumoured to be a Kopite but is a boyhood Evertonian who goes by the name of Leighton Baines will grab that ball and place it down carefully. Takes them couple of steps back and curls it home top right hand corner, to which the Anfield road end will absolutely shake severely and many limbs will fly amongst the 3,000 or so Evertonians who are in there as well as the many thousands watching at home and in pubs across the world.
This last gasp winner will not only give us a precious derby win, but will gauruntee us Champions League football for the 2013/14 season with still two games to go.

In all seriousness though, just imagine that. Really, just lie there in bed and imagine that. Jesus Christ.
Hahahaha. That last paragraph ffs.

Boss read that, Azul. Massive 19 games that really are make or break, coming up. If we were to get 4th and keep Moyes for another contract, I think we'll look back and call this season and the last couple of transfer windows the most important in our recent history. I really believe we'd win a trophy under him, unlike others who don't, for fair reason, like.

I'd like to think Moyes will recognise that, if we were to get 4th, he could use all the experience he has gained here over the years, to take the next step that we just weren't ready for in 05. If we finish lower than 4th then he is welcome to leave for a CL club, imo. He deserves a fair crack at it. Great manager
that owes us nothing now. It wouldn't be the ending that'd be most fitting, but **** it, that's fusbal.

I have a horrible feeling we wont do it you know. Weve still got to go to Chelsea, Arsenal, United, Lpool, Spurs, but still, were capable, so COYB.

For example Liverpool needs more goals, so they buy sturridge, your point is will sturridge be the right player? But will Moyes get any money at all? but we have to remember it all about spending money to to finish high.

He'll get some money i'm sure.

My point is that having more money to spend means that its easier to buy a better quality of player. However as Moyes has proven time and time again, and plenty of other managers have proved the opposite, its not as simple as "oh team x spent more money than us they'll automatically finish above us".

Of course i don't like that other clubs might have the money to enable them to make an easy purchase whereas we won't have a lot, but i think there's just as much chance of Moyes getting a better player to push us to 4th with his funds as there is Rodgers, AVB or Wenger doing so with their funds.

Its just a personal annoyance i've probably moaned about on here before, its not price tags that win games but players abilities, and we regularly beat teams who spend more than us so i hate when it becomes an excuse for not doing so.

Its going to be very tough. Alot of tough away days to come.

Arsenal have got a good side. So have Tottenham but so have we.

Im not worried about West Brom they will most likely finish 7-8th.

To be honest I see fifth and six as a toss up between us and tottenham being realistic. At present I think Arsenal hold the squad to cement forth.

If we keep everyone fit, i think we could get 4th

We showed with our display away to city that we can match the top teams away.
Look at our home 10 matches, we are capable of winning most and I think we can pick up the points in enough away matches to put us in with a realistic chance

****ing top read that chico, i'll come back to rep it once i've spread it round yada yada

we've had a great 1st half fair play, could have been better but some great great signs - ripping teams to pieces early season, attacking falir - being the better team for at least 15/19 games (only WBA have deserved to beat us this season), coming from behind a lot, still winning games despite injustices (WHU) - unbeaten home record with only man city and chelsea as realistically loseable games.

think we'll finish 5th at the end of the season which would be pretty good when you see how much/the quality of spurs and arsenal's squads as a whole. Think we need to bulk up the numbers in january and then look at a new keeper in the summer. overall, i only see it as a win win at the end of the season, if only europa is not enough for felli then so be it - we'll get a massive wedge for him, something which will be used to strengthen the squad even more. he's the best player i've seen in the royal blue of my 20 years supporting everton, but the money we get for him will hopefully soften the blow if we don't get champs league.

4th is definitely there for the taking - we have more home games in this second half, but we all know spurs and arsenal could go on a good run - we're also capable of that imo. think this is our best first XI under moyes - with a fully fit team, i only see the goalkeeping position as a weakness, whereas the 2004 and 09 teams had a bit more of a weakness.

anyway, COYB, lets shut that fat spanish waiter up ... and i'm also very confident we'll win at klanfield - just have that feeling it'll happen

Quality as always chico.

CL is there to be had and if we played in red and were called "the ****e" you wouldn't get odds but no belief at GP these days hence the lack of optimism you detect ....... as for the Moyes "will he won't he?" comedy - it's opening at a German theatre soon.

quality players cost money tho thats the point, you cant go out and buy world class players for 500k.
Spurs and arsenal have money to bring in top quality players if they wish to do so that can take them to another level.

teams have won trophies and had top4 finishes just because they have had that odd one or two quality players to carry them there, even without hard work and strong team ethic like ours

Hard work rate just isnt enough over the course of a season, . If spurs and arsenal bring in a top player moyes has to mirror that if he wants top4 simple as that.
If moyes just brings in ofoie and cahill on loan we will probably end up short.

Absolutely brilliant that Chico mate. Bang on the money in all respects. One of your finest pieces for me.

Not brilliant at all. Reasonable slapstick writing, and funny as that. Mostly true, but we all knew that anyway. And to suggest that Moyes was pitching for the Spurs job and that it was a good job they didn't want him is nothing more than mischevious. 7 out of 10...but keep 'em coming, I love the passion.
