Positive: the audacious moves by Martinez at 2-1 down and Baines limping off. Deulofeu on and switching Barry to LB and Barkley dropping off with Mirallas going more central.

Im sorry, but it would have taken Moyes until this time next year to figure all that out. Coleman also had him going the other way a lot.

Agree with this. Not that the end result would necessarily have been different, like. I much, much prefer Martinez' subs though.

They got behind the ball in numbers...which was a compliment of sorts, but it show you that Rodgers had looked at how Everton have struggled this season under those circumstances and tried to manage the game like a West Brom manager not the manager of a CL spot chasing outfit. I thought his line up was defensive and they were playing for the goal lead and to defend it...so yes, absolutely, just like Moyes.
Yes Rodgers is a defensive manager....you would say that i this was the only game of Liverpool you have ever watched. Ffs we were away from home and missing one of our instrumental strikers

So a striker has a knock and you change your tactics to put men behind the ball

Why is it you have failed to beat anyone half decent this season?

Southampton,Everton,Swansea,Newcastle and Arsenal

Still think your going to get top 4?

Dmorgan why is it a team that has spent upwards of 140m over the last 3 seasons still find themselfs fighting to finish above a side that has spent a quarter of that?

Why is does a side that has so many world class players struggle to beat anyone of substance ?

I think ManU would count as a team of 'substance' don't you? Anyway my theory is that there are about 8 good teams in this league and 12 quite poor ones-if you can win the majority of your games against those crap teams and get a few points here and there against the top 7, you'll be there or thereabouts for top 4. We are still second in the league having done just that.

You have to be honest with yourself and admit that the amount of money Liverpool have spent over the seasons its got to be disappointing that you are not that good. Saying that though I have yet to meet a liverpool fan that doesn't believe they won't win the league at the start of each season. You live in a red bubble

Name me a team in world football who has spent the money your lot have but failed to win the league?

You're kidding yourself. Liverpool aren't qualifying for the CL places.

Deary me. How deluded are you people?

Positive

Martinez having big bold brass balls :D

Could quite have easily sent on a defender for Baines and nobody would have batted an eyelid, but to send on Deulofeu!

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Negative

We're **** at the back. You only have to see the Palace game to realise that teams can still create chances even with a fraction of ball possession.
