Your positives and negatives from the derby

Ross taking it to them
Mirallas getting in gear (don't think you can sit back down again now, lad)
McCarthy pushing high up at times to keep pressure on (been talked about)
Delo through the middle, despite the outcome...I jizzed a bit, I think he did too
Some other stuff

Screw the negatives, plenty of others to ride that train...I'm done with it, for now.

Positives : You could tell we deserve to be up there with the best teams in the country.
Unbeaten at home in a calendar year having played all the top sides inbetween (I think, not sure on Arsenal).
He brought a full back off and brought on the most attack minded player currently at the club (in the sense Deu never defends). We absolutely went for it and were only done at the death by the country's most in-form striker.
I'm not now sat here in a complete rage having barely tried (like at Anfield a couple of seasons ago).
Lukaku is a goal machine and I love him.

Negatives: Didn't win. Bad defending at times. (Though I don't agree on the second goal, just thought it was a top strike).

Positives

-With the exception of the 2-0 victory when Liverpool was a mess and the 3-0 victory where Liverpool were a comedy show this was the 1st time in which we never seemed scared of them
-3 goals despite Mingolet being Liverpool's best player by a mile.
-We were better side for at the minimum of 75-80 minutes of the match.
-Great match despite the result

Negatives

-Stones seemed to be way in over his head; probably not the best match to throw him in

Big difference there today between the two teams: the pace of our attack compared to how ponderous theirs was. When we had it and broke, we did so with numbers and pace; even when the scores were level or they were behind, they tended to knock triangles around in the middle third.

We were very much the more adventurous team on display there. Liverpool I thought did well in a few 5 minute spells but were hanging on a lot during that game. If it was boxing you'd have to score that a clear points victory for us.

Liverpool looked a lot like a Moyes team in this derby. They sat back quite a bit and attempted long balls to their strikers while our fullbacks are high up the pick (admittedly Suarez is good enough to score in this fashion), win free kicks and knick a goal or two.

They got behind the ball in numbers...which was a compliment of sorts, but it show you that Rodgers had looked at how Everton have struggled this season under those circumstances and tried to manage the game like a West Brom manager not the manager of a CL spot chasing outfit. I thought his line up was defensive and they were playing for the goal lead and to defend it...so yes, absolutely, just like Moyes.

Positives: Barkley showed that he is really ready to pick it up and become a true great. Kept his head and was involved in everything.

Mcarthy looked solid and with Barry alongside him.

Delofeu looked very good when he came on, apart from the fact that he did not choose to dink it over Milognet as he had gone to ground early.

Showed a lot of heart in the last half an hour to come back. Martinez does seem to have a good mentality in games when we are a bit down and out.

Negatives: Thought after their 2nd went in we went to sleep and let them control the game and up until around 55 minutes it really looked like we were going through the motions.

The fact that we could not defend one more set piece to hold it out for the win.

Had to sit there in a pub in Germany with 3 Kopites who would not shut up and could not get my point about supporting Suarez fully despite everything he had done, including doing an interview with the Sun.

Draw a fair result

Positives , we never looked beaten

Negatives , poor goals against , why we didn't put up a wall for the third goal is beyond me , giving Steve g a chance to whip in a ball and pick out a man was just horrible .

Positive: the audacious moves by Martinez at 2-1 down and Baines limping off. Deulofeu on and switching Barry to LB and Barkley dropping off with Mirallas going more central.

Im sorry, but it would have taken Moyes until this time next year to figure all that out. Coleman also had him going the other way a lot.

Wonder if our previous manager would've done that....
