This would get top 4

Pickford

Coleman Heitinga* Lescott Baines

Barry Fellaini

Arteta Cahill Pienaar

Lukaku
*2011/12 version of Heitinga obvs
That's worse than our current team in my opinion. Everyone in their prime only Cahill Arteta and lukaku from your team would get in now,

He's my hero .
In my mind the greatest.
And to be honest we won nothing with him.
But his 30 goal season was brilliant.
Well if he's your hero fair enough, everyone's entitled to a hero and his thirty goals that season lifted a lot of Blues fans. He wasn't one of my favourites, that's by the by, met him once at an Aston Villa / Everton game, got to say he was a real
gent with no side to him, came across as a genuine and open man.

This is one of those rare occasions when I would not trade my longevity for youth :)

I feel sorry for young Blues when a line up like that, albeit a worthy one,is their top all time XI, Josephine :(

FWIW......

Southall

Stevens.....Labone.....Ratcliffe....Van Den Hauwe

Deulefeou....Kendall.....Reid.....Sheedy

Rooney.....Big Bob

One of these doesn't belong...

..I think you have to apply a longevity filter and not include players who were only with us for a short time. Lineker, Kanchelskis, Stones and Rooney were fabulous but I wouldn’t include them.

The Holy Trinity was the backbone of the greatest ever Everton team, so Kendall, Ball and Harvey are a given for me as are 2 of the 3 truly world class players I have seen playing for the Blues; Southall and Wilson. Once you have them you can fill in others around them;

Southall

Gary Stevens
Labone
Hurst
Wilson

Steven
Kendall
Harvey
Sheedy

Ball

Sharp.

No Golden Vision Eggs ? On the subs bench ?

Fair enough Eggs, where would you stand on Tony Kaye ?
My older brother still eulogises about what a great player he was.

...I saw Tony Kaye but I was too young to truly judge him. I did actually play against him once when he was an old fella. He was tough as teak, truly hard as nails I just bounced off him. That says lots to me of what a player he must have been.
